Nine dogs and 18 cats are starting a better life through spay/neuter today! This includes 3 "It's Not My Cat" recipients and 1 Fix-A-Bull recipient. This also includes 3-month-old adoptables Banana Bread (right) and Banana Muffin (left) who are available for adoption from the Huntingdon County Humane Society (814-643-7387/[email protected]).

Our "It's Not My Cat" promotion continues to help caretakers of stray/feral cats in our area get cats spayed/neutered for low-cost.

If INMC has helped cats in your area, please take a moment to make a post about how it has helped. This would mean a lot to us and our donor. This is just ONE shelter's stray intake on ONE day (today) in Pennsylvania.
6 of the 13 'strays' are pit bulls.
10 of the 13 'strays' are not spayed/neutered.
We see these sorts of post every day. So many animals arriving at shelters and most not being reclaimed. We realize accidents happen and pets get away from their people sometimes, but how many of these 'strays' were dumped because their owners thought that was a more humane quick-fix than finding a safe place for them to go? Why are there so many owners who think they need to get rid of their pets? When this happens every day, what effect does this have on our animal welfare system? On companion animals in our communities?
WE NEED TO DO BETTER! This is unacceptable and maddening!

Anyone missing this little dog in/near Tyrone?

RETURNED TO OWNER!!
FOUND DOG!

This little one was found in Tyrone by the vet clinic and Jean-O’s. This dog is wearing a license but we can’t get the system to work to pull info! We’re hoping word of mouth on Facebook helps the owner reach out! Call us if you are the owner. 814-942-5402.
