Tiki Animal Rescue is a not for profit organisation that dedicates the necessities to animals in need and finds them safe, and loving forever homes. Tiki Animal Rescue was founded by Seth, Annette and Geoff- a bunch of people who met in the rescue world and partnered up to help save the lives man's best friend.

Susie ( right) and Audrey ( rear) have both now been in foster care with Tiki for a week or two and have found their off switches, between games.
Whereas their playmate Rita ( front) is new into care, and so far we've only found 'pause'. But she'll get there soon enough.

Susie, Audrey and Rusty have settled into foster care and are getting into the swing of Xmas festivities.
Susie is a 2yo bull arab, smallish for breed at about 27kg. She's an absolute delight and highly social. Not suitable for cats . Her vet work is scheduled just after new year so she's available for adoption then, but she's happy to take enquiries and do a meet n greet before then. Audrey ( brindle) is new into care, nearly 6 months old. She's a little (15kg) sweetie with puppy behaviors, but adorable. She'll be up for adoption very soon.

This well behaved man was a good boy for his groom and we are so thankful that this beautiful business offered a last minute spot for one of our new special Tiki dogs

We told you this pair would come out of their shells.
After just a week in care, even Rusty has stopped sheltering under the table watching the pack, to now joining in the pack and going on walks. Time in foster care is so good for these nervous nellies . https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1ATbZ18T26/

Every rescue journey is individual.
Susie (2yo bull arab) and Rusty (1 yo kelpie) both came into foster care during the week. Both were anxious to begin with due to the sudden change to their lives, and neither much liked foster Dad initially.
Gorgeous Susie adjusted quickly and is loving having lots of other dogs in the host and foster pack to socialize with, and foster mum and dad for pats and cuddles.
Handsome Rusty came in the next day, and wanted his space. The host pack has plenty of experience at this and gave it to him. He can watch from a safe place and decide when he is ready to mingle.
But Susie is working on him, gently playbowing to him periodically. And he's starting to respond, following her a few metres as she walks away.
He will get there, at his own pace.
Neither is ready for adoption yet. Susie will go up soon for adoption interest, but not go out until after her vet work is completed early new year.
And Rusty will be available when he's ready.

Imagine being in foster care for 4 years already
And still waiting for just your perfect fit.
Overlooked because he's a bully mix.
Overlooked because he's starting to get older.
Overlooked because he's just Mack.

Sweet and handsome.
Always happy and smiling.
Good with kids and loving of people.
Mack is searching for a home as a very spoiled only dog or could share with the right dog.
He's best suited to a home without cats or pocket pets.

He's really just looking for a chance of his own home.
His own comforts without sharing with other foster dogs.

Almost 7 now.
He deserves that forever fit and that final retirement
