Tiki Animal Rescue is a not for profit organisation that dedicates the necessities to animals in need and finds them safe, and loving forever homes. Tiki Animal Rescue was founded by Seth, Annette and Geoff- a bunch of people who met in the rescue world and partnered up to help save the lives man's best friend.

We have kept this boy a little secret.
Waiting for his impound time to finish
It's now time to tell Willis' story

Willis was dumped in the overnight cages in the pound after being hit by a car when leaving the vets with his previous "owner"
He was unleashed and ran across the road, being struck by a car and breaking his arm in the process.
Vet staff were confronted with a gentle puppy and an owner who said
"It's just cheaper for me to go buy a new dog than fix this one"

Sadly a few hours later he was dumped in the overnight cages and was found the next morning by the pound staff
Thankfully he didn't need to wait long to find rescue and the next day, we were able to step up and get him into care
Thank you to everyone who helped with that journey!

We are now 2 weeks in and this cheeky boy is hating crate time but loving his snuggles with his foster mum and annoying the existing dogs in the home with his puppy antics.
He's going to be another big boy, being a mix of Neapolitan mastiff and Cane Corso

He's not available for adoption yet and still has many weeks of casting and rehab to go.
He's currently 4 months old
We are so thankful that we were able to rush him into care

Crazy that this sweet natured happy boy just hasn't had any adoption interest.
Sarmi has been let down by homes before. And he's searching for his committed forever home.
This sweet boy could live easily with another social dog; he shows to love them all.
Or could easily be an only dog with a home committed to daily exercise and interaction.

Not an excessive barker.
Not a fence jumper or escape artist
Well mannered inside, toilet trained and sleeps easily inside of a night time
Not suitable to a home with cats or pocket pets but could share his home with kids

A large sized husky x hound type boy. He's a fun loving guy!

🌟 Meet Audrey! 🌟

This sweet, fun-loving rescue puppy is as smart as she is cuddly. With a gentle temperament and a playful spirit, she’s sure to bring endless joy to her forever home. We guess that Audrey will grow to be a medium sized dog, she is bigger than her brother. Audrey loves to make you laugh with her funny antics and is always eager to please. Whether it's playtime or cuddle time, Audrey will be your loyal and loving companion. Adopt this little bundle of joy and let her brighten your days! 🐾💕

Audrey requires commitment to ongoing training and daily exercise. Audrey loves being wherever her people are, so she needs a home that allows her to be a part of the family, including sleeping inside at night. She is crate trained overnight, not requiring overnight toilet breaks. If she is kept on an outdoor toileting schedule during the day, her toilet training is going very well. She has experience with children, other dogs, and cats, but as her adult size and breed are unknown, she will be best suited to a home with older children or teens.

Located in the Newcastle area of NSW, Audrey is currently 10 weeks old and a mixed medium breed. Seeing a bit of staffy/ kelpie and Labrador in her mixing

🐾 **Meet Doug!** 🐾

Doug is a gentle soul who aims to please. He carefully watches his sister before trying new things, ensuring he always makes the right move. This sweet pup loves people and will gladly cuddle and nap with you anytime. Doug loves people, he is suited to being part of the family including being allowed indoors overnight. He is crate trained overnight.

Smaller than his sister Audrey, we guess Doug will grow to be medium in size. He requires daily exercise and a commitment to ongoing training. Doug has a respectful attitude towards other dogs, has had positive experience with his carers cats. He enjoyed trips to his carers family farm where on a lead he has began training with how to interact with all animals respectfully.

Doug is located in the Newcastle area and is currently 10 weeks old and ready to meet his new family. We are unsure of his breed mix but we suspect a medium size mixture of kelpie/ staffy/ Labrador

What are your ears doing Sooty girl?!

Opening up applications for this sweet girl as we really hope she finds her forever place at such a young age.
Thriving and hitting milestones in care, Sooty doesn't let anything hold her back.
Being deaf and vision impaired is something she doesn't know any different from, she is still a fun, adventurous and cheeky puppy. Always up for some mischievous games with the others in her foster home.

She adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with another that's social and playful and able to handle cheeky ways. She plays well with dogs of all sizes and her smallest best friend is only 2.5kg.
She may suit being an only dog if someone is searching for a quality companion as she adores human company.

Being so interactive and social she could easily adjust to a home with dog savvy kids.
She has started her exposures to a range of other animals including cats, poultry and livestock and shows fantastic skills at ignoring them.

Being such a smart girl, she is doing well in her toilet and crate training, learning some basic hand signals and checking in with her foster parents. And sleeping a full night in her crate with no accidents.
Sooty loves the car, and we know she would love a home that's adventurous out and about

Sooty is located in the Lower Hunter Valley and is ready to meet her new people now. She is a Catahoula x but is small in size so we are expecting lanky and medium as an adult

Little Banjo is trying on his Howl-O-Ween costume in foster care while waiting for adoption.
At nearly 9 months old, and only 12kg, Banjo is a pocket rocket who is unlikely to get bigger than small- medium size.
He is friendly with dogs and people, and is looking for an active family with another dog for company.
We hope he doesn't need to wait much longer.

Wait, what do you mean the applications haven't been flooding in for me?
I got my good jowls out and everything!

Nash is currently 15 weeks old and one of our neo mastiff x boys. Thriving in foster care, he's searching for his perfect fit.
He loves other dogs and happily socialises with anything from 2kg to 55kg.
He's started some slow exposures to penned poultry and paddocked livestock with a good start to learning to ignore and tolerate.
He's even met some cats and those things swipe he says!

Searching for a home as a spoiled only dog or with a social desexed female dog. He's growing large and expected to be a very solid fella when fully grown.
He loves to lounge around so he does ask that his new home lets himself at night and knows he sleeps perfectly settled in a crate if required.

Someone is getting their big boy jowls.
Ripley is waiting patiently for his forever match to appear.

He's letting everyone know he's not a morning boy though, he'll take a sleep in and a cuddle in bed any day too!

Sweet girl Sooty is showing her carers just how smart she truly is.
Being exposed to various animals including livestock and chickens and learning how to ignore them.
She would make a fantastic companion on a hobby farm as she loves being close and helping you garden, fence and potter around.

Being deaf and vision impaired really doesn't stop these guys living a full and healthy life. She rumbles and tumbles with the other dogs in her foster home. Cuddles up to her foster parents on the lounge and sleeps peacefully for a full night in her little soft puppy pen.

We can't wait to find her perfect match!

Not surprisingly ( to us), it came back as part southern ecotype dingo.
Can you guess her percentage dingo DNA as per the test results, to the nearest % ???

It's true what they say
Brindle dogs really do get overlooked.
Thankfully for these guys, we LOVE brindle dogs.
But they still need homes of their very own.

Growing up in foster care isn't a fun time for any puppy. Thankfully they are safe and well loved by their carers.
But would thrive in their own homes

Being exposed to different work schedules, routines, other dogs and for some of them they have started exposure to livestock, cats and poultry
These guys really couldn't get any sweeter.

14 weeks old and sitting around 15kg in size; these neo mastiff x boys will be large when fully grown. So households confident with larger dogs would be essential.
Cuddly, snuggly and people friendly they would easily make great additions to a family with dog savvy kids.

Located in the Hunter Valley area, we would LOVE to see them thrive in homes as only dogs or with compatible female dogs as companions.

Looking for a lounge lizard ?
Have you met Amari?

This sweet girl has been waiting many months for a home of her very own.
She was waiting in the RSPCA from 8 weeks old until 5 months old, then came into Tiki's care and has been waiting patiently ever since.

Amari is deaf and shy with new people but she promises that she tries really hard.
She is fantastically social with all sizes of dogs and requires another dog in the home to help her learn to trust people. And would happily share with many other dogs with ease.

She is also cat friendly and can easily share a home with cats.
Her new home should be calm and patient so she can learn that the world really isn't completely scary.

Amari is located in the Lake Macquarie area and is hoping she may be able to find a home by Christmas. Her very own home for Christmas; what a wish!
A medium sized staffy x girl, she sits around 18kg in size and is roughly 14 months old now.
Amaris adoption fee has been reduced due to a very kind donation from one of our deaf dog lovers!

Tiki Central Coast foster dogs Joe ( Kelpie X) and Marshall and Arlo ( Maremmas) on an outing this week with local walking service K9 Walkers .
Supplementary walking for the foster dogs helps free up time for the foster carers, and expand the horizons for the dogs.

Puppy eyes Friday
Treble; one of our neo mastiff x puppies really turning on that charm.

A sweet natured and social fella who has been socialised with dogs from 2.5kg to 55kg. Excelling at both crate and toilet training and learning how to navigate foster care on a property.
With a solid nature who just loves being cuddled, this boy is going to be a fantastic companion for someone.

So many basic stepping stones being mastered whilst in foster care, hoping that someone is looking for a Treble sized hole in their life and heart

As many in rescue know, puppies are everywhere right now.
We can't keep up with them.

But we definitely couldn't say no to one of our specialties.
Introducing Sooty, an 8 week old catahoula x who's deaf as a post, sweet as honey and as cheeky as ever.
She doesn't let anything stop her and is loving keeping her foster family on their toes.

This sweet girl is learning the ropes of the house, learning how to self settle, crate and toilet train and also master her basic obedience.
She'll be on the search for a home of her very own very soon and we know she'll be the sweetest girl for her forever family
