Rose has been involved in the nursing community for almost 10 years. With her keen interest in jewellery and her desire to support the East African Nursing Community,
founding Bahati Rose was the most natural way for Rose to achieve and satisfy her interest and desire! "The inception of Bahati Rose started when I was teaching nursing in rural parts of Tanzania. It was the most gratifying experience of my life. My students knowledge improved despite our language barrier because I used PowerPoint presentations and relevant videos. Unfortunately the lack of computer accessibility was the biggest obstacle in updating nursing skills and knowledge as students were referencing from old and outdated nursing books. It was then I felt strongly that in order for nurses to progress and provide excellent patient and family care, they needed their own personal and not shared computers. Advanced technology exists in developed countries around the world, yet the nurses in East-Africa have minimum access to this technology. I feel strongly about contributing to East-African nurses’ learning by providing them with the right tools, and so, Bahati Rose was founded with the vision of creating and selling fine beaded jewellery in order to share profit by purchasing and donating laptops to all nursing students"....Rose Ubhi
