Dogs & fireworks - please share if this will help a dog you know!

Here is the 4th of July routine I follow for my fearful dog. We give him prescription anti anxiety medication and prepare a "safe room" for him (he chose the downstairs bathroom as his "safe spot"). Lots of exercise in the morning and some stuffed, frozen Kong chews for him as it gets dark. Good luck to all the dogs this year! 🐾 🎆

Let me know what has helped your dog during fireworks (if anything). Benadryl is one option that can help some dogs feel calm if they're scared. Our vet said it's OK to give Benadryl to dogs.

Benadryl for dogs during fireworks, does it work? How much to give? Is it safe? The general dose is 25mg per 25 pounds of body weight.
