Flemish looking for a home ❤️

Someone has contacted me about rehoming their sweet Flemish. They are moving and can’t take her. She will be 2 years old in March, spayed, liter box trained. She has never been in a cage. Her name is Honeybun. She is located in Ostrander, Ohio, which is north of Columbus. Her owners will be picky and want to make sure she goes to a good loving home. Was able to brush a couple buns out today. While I was doing Benji, because everyone is blowing their coat, he is IN FACT A SHE! 😳 I swear I thought I looked before but I may have just taken the owners word for it or was too distracted from the overall poor condition the rabbit came in. I feel so stupid. 🤦‍♀️

So, looks like we may have to rename her to something with a "B". I'm taking name suggestions!

🌟Spotlight Saturday🌟

At the local country fair, Lydia showcases Miss Honey Bee, her prize-winning project from Oakford Acres' first litter, descended from Miss Dolly. The duo achieved outstanding results this year, capturing 1st place in showmanship, breed, and Outstanding Breed categories, and 2nd place in Best of Breed. Lydia's showmanship win earned her a spot in Master Showmanship, where she secured 3rd place.

Kudos to Lydia and Honey on their impressive accomplishments!🥳

This cooler weather was nice while cleaning out the barn today.
Bred another doe, so we will see if she takes. Fingers crossed 🤞

This update concerns a remarkable rabbit named Kevin, whose ancestry traces back to a couple's former pet, Teddy. Kevin is undoubtedly living life to the fullest, showcasing his talents, assisting with household chores like laundry folding, and reveling in outdoor play.

I was hoping to keep this doe for our future breeding but her overall show condition is lacking. But that's okay, because another beautiful family off our waitlist was glad to welcome her into their home 🩷
