Stevie's "stop on recall".
This lucky fellow just got a name (Matisse) and his forever home. We expect frequent updates! He's from a poodle rescue, so he's really appreciating a true home.
Great morning up on the Kaibab! Cool enough that Gus could play and run.
Ma'at is my zippy little dog (didn't get a video to do her energy justice).
I hate that I have to keep her on a long line, and can't give her the freedom of choice. But she's pretty hard of hearing and can't locate me when I call her, so it's for safety.
The other 2 keep track of me. Ma'at not so much. So she's stuck with the long line.
The pups and I are staying at the Nomad Cafe to avoid the Pioneer Day fireworks.
I hadn't seen Teika in awhile, but got to meet with her today. Such a clever girl!
Practicing heeling in company in class today.
Good job Booth and Stevie!
Yuccas are probably my least favorite plant. Partly because they have stabbed me so many times (yes. I hold a grudge!). Mostly because I always worry they might poke my dogs. When I was doing Search and Rescue, I never put a scent source near a yucca.
But I have to admit, a yucca with fresh blooms in the early morning sunlight is pretty impressive!
Gotta keep your eye on the ball!
Allie is a star at nosework, but here I set up a hard problem. The scent source was under the rug! She knew it was in the area, but was having a hard time actually locating it. She finally did, and indicated. It was a challenge!
Super cute Zoey enjoying her training.
Practicing figure 8s with another dog.
Scruffy? Ma'at isn't shy about her true self!
Booth practicing heeling through the cones. Oh wait, one of the cones isn't a cone!
Stevie practicing is in the comments.
Stevie trying two jumps. She nailed it!
Ruby loves a toy as a reward.
Dolly learning to spin without a treat in the cue hand, but an immediate reward for the spin.
