Here is an opportunity to join our ADOPT-A-TANK club. If chunkamonk low-riders who love everybody grab your heart, you will adore Harper. A solid, adult English Bulldog, Harper had seen some days in the past but this lovey is nothing but a hilarious joy to have around. Watch her prepare to enjoy a car ride by placing her front feet inside the vehicle and calmly waiting for you to boost the back end of her in. She is just as sweet as can be, friends with all (even the kitties). Invite this gem to strut on in to your family! !

How appropriate for this time of year! Her name is Nobility, and she is a precious soul praying for sanctuary. She was found searching for safety as a stray, underweight and weary. Her foster home has helped her gain weight and confidence while showing her the joys of people who love dogs. If you can extend that same grace to Nobility, send in an application to meet her and adopt.

Neither snow nor rain can dampen the smiles of new adoptions. Check out these four recent additions to the Happy Bark family!

Sweet little Meadow was a popular pup with many applications. Christie and Matt missed out on the first dog they applied for so made it a point to raise their hands immediately for Meadow. Both work from home so will have lots of time to spend with Meadow and her new kitty sibling.

Julie has owned three dogs in her life, most recently a Staffordshire terrier that passed suddenly and left an empty spot in her home. Picking Sheldon as her next companion was a great choice! This guy is smart, obedient and has a great sense of humor, an all-around good boi.

Wendy and Mike's JRT passed away and left their dog Ollie feeling lonely. They decided to foster for Happy Bark and were tickled when Mighty Mouse came to stay with them until a home was found for her. Tiny and adorable, Mouse was irresistible and has been adopted to stay with them forever.

It took Snowball a couple of tries to find the right fit in a new home. Caitlin and her son, Miles, invited this mountain of fluff to join their two other big dogs, Fraya and Mufasa. That apparently was the combo he needed as he now settles happily into their Erie home.

Congratulations to these and all our other adopters who have opened their homes and hearts to deserving dogs.

Sheldon is a Kentucky native who thinks all this fluffy white stuff is kinda interesting and a blast to play in! He even loves his special jammies and all the TLC he's had so far as a Happy Bark foster dog. However, he's ready now for a forever home, so grab an application for this amazingly smart, emotionally intelligent lover boy. Sheldon is responsive to requests, house trained, crate cooperative (although he doesn't need to be in one while you're out of the house), and attuned to his people. This gem can be hanging out with your family this holiday season to make very day even more special. Wanna meet him?

Windy is the name and she’s as easy breezy as they come! A little about Windy girl, she’s a 28 pound adult Australian Cattle Dog who has no intention of being a working dog. No siree, this little lady craves belly rubs and quiet, loving security. She will flop down to put her underside in just the right position for lots and lots of rubs. The Happy Bark website has more photos of Windy (plus a bit of background), so click on over and get an application started! !

HELLO!

The name is Larold Archibald Jameson the 3rd, but you can call me Larry! I'm a 4 month old terrier puppy and here are are some fun facts about me, in hopes that you'll give me a home!

My foster family likes to call me a goofy goober because I'm always making them laugh. I like to cuddle almost as much as I like to play fetch! It's my favorite game! Sometimes I get in trouble for chewing on things I shouldn't, but I'm still a baby and I'm still learning. I'm doing a lot better with figuring out what is and is not a toy! My manners are improving as well. I sit patiently like a good boi until they put down my food bowl and say "YES!" I know how to, sit, wait, drop it, and greet new people by shaking their paws!

I adore cuddles both with people and other dogs so much that I'd love to have another doggo in my new home, but a loving person will do just fine. There are two cats here, too, that make me a little nervous and sometimes I like to chase them. Maybe a home without them might be an okay idea, I have a hard time understanding that a tail isn't a toy when I get too excited.

Anyways, I'd love to bring my cuddles, smiles and goofiness to you! With patience, positivity and treats I learn super quick! Go to the Happy Bark website and fill out a no obligation adoption application; I promise once you meet me you'll fall in love instantly!

❄️🐾 Stay Warm, Friends! 🐾❄️

To our amazing community here in Northwestern Pennsylvania, we hope you’re staying safe and cozy as we weather this record-breaking snowfall together! 🌨️☃️

Here at Happy Bark, we’re bundling up our pups and keeping them warm, but we know many of our furry friends (and their humans) love playing in the snow. If you and your dog venture out for some frosty fun, share your snow day pictures with us—we’d love to see them! 🐶❤️❄️

And remember:
🦴 Keep your pets warm and dry indoors.
🚗 Watch out for salt and chemicals on your dog’s paws.

Let’s take care of each other during these chilly days. Whether you’re shoveling snow or snuggling up with your pup, we’re all in this together!

Stay safe, stay warm, and don’t forget to enjoy a little winter magic! ✨

This week's snowmageddon means time to stay safely inside, read, nap,
binge your fav program, and snuggle a pooch. Here are four new canine pals in loving homes to help spread the warmth.

Senior beagle Lucy has seen some rough times in her life. We were thrilled that Emily and Jeremiah Gyulai unhesitatingly picked her to join their family. They brought their beagle Dudley to meet Lucy and the two dogs immediately set off together to sniff all the smells. Much awoos shall ensue where Lucy gets to live out a happy life.

Ken and Pat have volunteered as transporters in the past, then decided to give fostering a try. Sweet little Freeda was their house guest and got tapped to be a permanent resident.

Speaking of fosters who wound up being adopted, handsome lab Voodoo hit the jackpot when his temporary home became a permanent one. Natalie and Mike quickly saw what a perfect dog he is, with even senior dog Jasper giving a rare shrug of approval. Now named Strider, he's exploring grape vineyards in Northeast and gets lots of family love.

Lindsay had to say goodbye recently to her long-time beach walking buddy, Timmy, and missed the companionship they had enjoyed for so many years. When she saw Rainy's photos on our website, she thought the similarities between her and Timmy were remarkable. Lindsay picked Rainy up directly off transport as a foster and made her a permanent resident as soon as she could. !

Would you like to add a dog to your family? We have all ages, sizes and descriptions. Slide on over to the Happy Bark website to pick out the one that speaks to your heart.

Snickers looks so serious in these photos but she is actually a warmly affectionate sweetheart who will gently nudge your hand to keep on petting her. Don't stop! An adult Red Heeler, Snickers was well-loved by a family who had to make the difficult choice to allow her to be rehomed so she would be adequately cared for. And loved. Snickers has a laid-back personality that allows for many boops, hugs, and oh yeah, PETTING! She loves other dogs, keeps a clean kennel, isn't a barker, and is always trying to please you. Want to add this honey pie to your family? Adoption info is found at happybark.org for Snicks, and all our adoptable dogs. ? !

Dog Rescue Reimagined

Happy Bark is the brainchild of Eric Po***ck, who, after years of volunteering in various rescues and shelters, envisioned a different kind of dog rescue/adoption through positivity and partnership. In 2020, Eric invited three friends who also had experience in rescue to join him in creating Happy Bark, Inc. We are a forward-thinking, foster-based rescue with a philosophy of team collaboration, celebration, and proaction in rescue and adoption. Please check out the “About Us” tab on our website for more information.
