A TERRIBLE EVENING HERE AT DDS
We’ve had the most awful experience here at the sanctuary this evening. Around 8-30pm a white car dropped this individual off at the end of our road. He walked right up to our car park which is quite a distance and attempted to steal the collection tins at the car park. When confronted as to what he was doing he became very threatening and tried to stop me filming. As I followed him down the road the car sped off leaving him behind and he threatened me again by coming right up to me. I was very shaken at this stage and had no choice but to watch him walk away. The Gardai have been to the sanctuary and have taken a statement. We are just devastated by this experience and cannot believe that something like this can happen at 8-30 on a quiet summer evening. What sort of person tries to steal from an animal sanctuary? Just devastating😢

The non-invasive procedure uses high-intensity focused ultrasound to create a lesion in a part of the brain which controls a person's movements and gives Parkinson's patients hope of regaining independence.

🚨🐾 Stand Up for Those Who Can't Speak 🐾🚨

In Ireland, if you see animal abuse, don't stay silent. Your voice can save lives! Animals rely on us for protection, and we have a duty to ensure they are treated with kindness and respect. If you witness neglect, cruelty, or any form of abuse:

📞 Report it to the ISPCA or your local Garda station
📸 Document what you see, if safe to do so
👥 Encourage others to speak up

Together, we can make a difference. Be their hero.

Ready to add a little fur & fun to your life? Volunteering feels great, and KLAWS needs YOU!

Here’s How You Can Help:
🌟 FOSTER: This is what we need the most! There are lots of cats and dogs out there who need a safe home to snuggle into while they wait for their people to find them. Can you let them into your family for a few nights?
🌟 Transportation: Be a chauffeur! Get these dogs the care they deserve, whether it’s vet appointments or a trip across the county to their new home. You’re basically their limo, but way cooler.
🌟 Event Assistance: Help us throw the best parties ever! The ones where dogs and cats get adopted. You’d help connect pets with new owners, spread joy, and give belly rubs.
🌟 Fundraising: We’re all volunteers but the pets in our care need funds to cover other costs like vet visits and medications. With more help we could put on many more events!
🌟 Photography: Dogs with glamor shots get adopted much faster, and who doesn’t love a good cat video? We need good quality, hi-res photos and videos to help our pets find homes.
🌟 And More: We can always use more help with admin duties, or people out in the field doing home checks or trap/neuter/return runs for feral cats. The bottom line is: if you want to help, we’d love it. Please get in touch!
