I LOVE getting updates from
America of my superb home bred stallion Rhythmic AHSA ! 🥰
He is looking INCREDIBLE for this recent photoshoot !! 🤩
A few Months ago he travelled almost 4,000km ! 😮
From Michigan to California where he now resides at Landon Equestrian ! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him !

Our very impressive Arabian x WB c**t foal is growing like a w**d !!! We still have to come up with a name, he will be one very special big boy, with incredible bone like his Showjumping bred mum Paloma,
He has powerful muscular hindquarters, super front, knees the size of footballs 🤣and that impressive uphill WB movement
He should go well over 16hh as his mum is 17.2hh !
Can’t wait for the grey to come through - I hope there’s dapples 🤗!

It’s taken quite some time to write this post - and this horse was so wonderful he almost deserves a book to be written about him!
We knew this day had been coming for a while, as the last few winters have taken their toll 😥
but it’s still surreal knowing this Equine Legend is no longer with us
Snow’n’Fire (Sarafire x Santarabia Porfira) or ‘Snowy’ as he was affectionately known
was foaled in 1997 on the wide open Riverina plains at Wantabadgery near Junee in NSW
Bred by Leon Bennett and Rob and Yvonne day, he was striking from day one with his sabino belly splash and high white well over the knees and hocks
It was evident from a very young age that he loved the company of people, often more than his own kind !
I first saw Snowy on video at the Toowoomba Crabbet Convention
He wowed the crowd with his memorable ‘Man from Snowy River’ stockmanship display to the theme song from the film with talented horseman Geoff Willis.
I was so moved by the demonstration I contacted Rob & Yvonne about leasing the stallion
He arrived to the rolling green hills of West Gippsland in 2009 as a 12yo stallion, and settled in beautifully as both a breeding stallion and competition horse for Aaron.
Snowy had the sweetest disposition, there was never any nastiness, never any time I felt unsafe around him even with young children helping to feed and rug him
Every time he went out in open company he would get comments like “Has he got a bit of Arab in him ?”
“He doesn’t look like a purebred! that’s a very nice horse!”
“Wow he goes Great for an Arab !”
It was extremely unusual to compete on anything other than a QH or ASH so it didn’t take long for him to become quite well known
He never scored below 85 for cutout in every campdraft! One weekend he came home placing 7th out of 140 purpose bred ASH and QH!
His legs and feet always impressed horsemen and he had Breeders textbook ideal hooves and short cannons with an astounding 22cm (8.5inch) of bone!
Snowy also loved having a job to do and would spend all day scaling steep terraced hills of the Strzelecki Ranges like a mountain goat. Whether mustering or w**d spraying where he carried two 10 litre w**d sprayers swinging off his saddle, he would come home in a lather of sweat refill the sprayers and keenly head out again !
Sometimes after a busy few days spraying he would drive 4 hours to compete in a draft the next day
then come home cover a mare, and the next morning load straight onto the float to drive 3 hours for an endurance ride !
That’s what he was like
The most willing, dependable horse anyone could ask for
A true ‘Horseman’s horse’ He had a special relationship with his trainer Geoff Willis, a Quarter Horse breeder and competitor
Geoff was dual winner of the prestigious ‘Man From Snowy River Stockman’s challenge’ in Corryong
He said Snowy was one of the best he had ever ridden on cattle, stating that he was the definition of as ‘quick as a whip’!
He would be bold and forward moving when mustering cattle on steep rough terrain. He intuitively knew who was on his back and what they were asking of him
He had an armchair canter, he was slow and gentle for beginners or young riders
Whether looking after a PC kid doing their first jump, or my 4 yo daughter riding independently for the first time!
He was always very sensible and trustworthy and respectful of his riders abilities.
Snowy joined Creswick Arabians in 2015 where he quickly became Tanya Beacham’s pride and joy
The pair formed a close bond and he went on to be a decorated show and saddle horse for Tanya
The last few bitter winters have been hard on the grand old gentleman so the decision was made for the legendary ‘Snowy’ to be laid to rest
He joins many of Tanya’s other great saddle horses under her ancient gum trees at Creswick
His blood lives on in his precious sons and daughters
Rest easy old man… till we meet again 💔

He has five crosses to CRYSTAL FIRE
He also combines some of the most prolific studs in Australia within the first 5 generations: Wagga Agricultural Collage, Chip Chase Park, Talquah, Oxford, Pevensey, Cameo, and Bremervale.

It’s always special when you breed and raise your own and they are still with you at breaking in age ! So it was wonderful to see Tilly today riding Firedance GR (Grand Ridge Royal Fire x Solitairey Dancer) after 3 weeks with Peter Kelly
He almost sold as a c**t a few times as a youngster, but he is now a stylish gelding and we also have his younger full brother GR Vivace who is an outstanding young stallion !
Firedance is such a relaxed and laid back young horse with his whole life ahead of him.
We look forward to bringing this young gelding home and getting him out and about. Not sure yet if Tilly wants to keep him but in the meantime she will at least enjoy spending time with him, and can’t wait to see if he is a natural jumper like his grandfather Snow’n’Fire 🥰

SOOOO PROUD !!! Still seems surreal that I bred this horse now making his mark on American soil !!! 🤩🇺🇸😍

When world-class breeders are inspired to import, this is why:

❇️ Finely wedge-shaped head with huge, liquid eyes, square nostrils and sharp ears

❇️ Dry face with prominent cheek bones, dark black skin around eyes and muzzle

❇️ Long neck, with fine, clean throat latch. Prominent shoulders, long with great angulation. High, defined withers and a moderate length back that ties correctly into his rear quarters. Strongly muscled with no loss of elasticity. Excellent chest width, long forearms and some of the best legs and feet we have ever seen.
❇️ Short cannons with additional bone but with no hint of coarseness. Round and large feet, relatively level performance horse croup, and a beautiful, old-fashioned, long tail bone, a classic characteristic of the Crabbet-bred Arabian.
