Ianis (about 4-5 years old) and Honey (about 5-6), are desperately seeking a new, loving family. Ianis and Honey are a closely bonded pair of two incredibly affectionate and joyful dogs. Both pups were adopted from Romania to a wonderful family that loved them dearly and spoiled them rotten. Sadly, their whole world fell apart in less than a year, with both their owners passing away. It’s hard to imagine how distressed Honey and Ianis must feel with both mum and dad no longer here. We want to make sure they find a new home as soon as possible and that they stay together. They have always been inseparable, and they need each other now more so than ever.
Both Ianis and Honey are very social and friendly. They might get excited when new visitors enter the house, but they quickly calm down. Ianis is slightly more vocal than Honey, who’s a quiet, gentle soul. They never lived with young children, but they very much enjoy playing with the neighbours child. They might need some time to warm to other dogs, but a slow introduction will do the trick. A cat-free household is a must, as they will attempt to chase cats and other small animals. They are both house trained, they happily wear collars, harnesses and walk on a lead.
Ianis and Honey are incredibly affectionate and so fun to be around. Honey loves a tummy rub and a fuss, she will hop up on the sofa to feel close to someone. Ianis will leap up for a lap cuddle where he often settles down for a nap. They play happily together and benefit from having regular access to a garden. They love playing tug of war with toys but have no mercy - once a toy is decapitated they will pull the stuffing out, so toys with squeakers inside are to be restricted. Due to his terrier-like coat Ianis enjoys regular grooming sessions and he loves to pose with his new hairdo when finished. He’s also used to eating his food from a bowl on the sofa, a privilege his late dad allowed him to enjoy.
Despite the traumatic few months they’ve had, with so much change and uncertainty, they are still the two happiest dogs we know. They always greet family that comes to care for them with great joy and affection. They might need some time to adjust to a new home, but they will be such a wonderful addition to the family once they settle. They have a huge amount of love to give and deserve a safe forever home more than anyone.
Ianis and Honey are currently living in Halstead, Essex.
