Great to see this in motion and with some kind of humour !

Maybe will bring more awareness.
I would also add the skin of the neck of the dog is thinner and more sensitive than the human's.

Wellbeing of the dog first is a great guide to get the right equipment for your dog and be mindful that time and effort will have a longer lasting effect which will develop a stronger bond and trusting connection for years to come.

Here is an article from This Dog's Life I just came across.

Young or old, rescuing a dog is a heart decision which needs to be supported by the awareness that it isn't always a smooth transition for them or/and for the adopters.

To be ready and prepared to put the work, time and effort, with the love into it, will give the dogs the best chance of becoming an integral part of your family, your furkid, a happy member of your family when you prioritise their wellbeing (and yours).

My late Sunny came into my life as an adult and was such an amazing addition to it, with his sense of humour, his laid-back attitude after gaining calm and confidence and trusting me so much so I could go on with my boarding and Petminding services even with dogs said not to be dog friendly. Each initial test visit revealed that his gentle energy was an asset for other dogs not to be bothered by him at all.

Astonishing what you can learn with dogs and their subtle and at the same time all-encompassing presence which uplifts you, support you and help you grow.
You may also heal each other.
You may also connect mind body and spirit when you are receptive to it.

So many possibilities open...

The first hours, days, weeks, months or even years may be challenging but it is all worth it and very rewarding.
