Walks & Wags Pet Sitting An in-home professional pet sitting service providing an alternative to boarding, I COME TO YOU! I provide drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Your pets stay in the comfort of their own environment to reduce stress and anxiety while you're away. Hi, my name is Charla Blair. I am a certified Veterinary Assistant, Professional Pet Sitter, certified Equine Massage Therapist, and animal lover, as true as they come, and I believe that they are part of our families. I have had many pets in my lifetime, everything from cats to dogs and rabbits

to horses. Including my 15 current indoor and 5 outdoor stray cats. My passion is animal care and welfare and worked at the Logan County Humane Society until they closed in early June 2016, which lead to my opening of W&W. I had the pleasure of caring for all of those abandoned, and abused, showing them that love was possible. I now also work for Brant Performance Horses as the evening feeder part-time, along with W&W, as well as an EMS professional in my little rural town. With that all being said, I am hoping to help those with busy lives have a chance to keep their pets comfortably at home as a better alternative to boarding their pets while their people work or travel, and at competitive rates. I am bonded and insured, an active member of NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters). Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions.

Hi friends!
Just a brief synopsis for your information of my availability for the upcoming months.

August is pretty well booked between my EMS schedule and overnight stays, but with the possibility of drop-ins.

September I'm booked the first three weekends, but have plenty of other options during the rest of the month.

October I am booked 3 weeks in row with overnight stays from the 6th-26th. There is a possibility for drop-ins the 6th-11th as I will be local, but the rest of that time period I will not be available. It's too far in advance to know my EMS schedule, but I'm going to assume I will be working a lot the first and last week of that month.

As always, thank youfor your amazing support!

If so, please let me know so that I am able to share your information with your permission. Thank you all again so much! Live and blessings to all of you!

Hello to all of my friends and clients.
As many of you know, the horse barn that I work for burned to the ground on Saturday 6/8, leaving multiple people unemployed, including myself. It was supplemental income, but more than just a job. The farm folks and animals have been my family for the past 4 years. I will go back once they rebuild, but that will be months. I am still a part-time EMT with Belle Center, but have limited hours with them.
I am asking if you would be kind enough to pass along my pet sitting services to other people you know so that I can still self-sustain and try to make up the income I have lost from the barn.
I offer drop-in or overnight stays. Prices vary depending on the service and number of animals. Base price is $20 up to 2 pets for drop-ins, and $40 per day up to 2 pets for overnight stays. Additional $3 per pet over 2 for both services.

As always, thank you and your fur babies for your continued love and support over the past 8 years. I appreciate you!

Hi pet parents! It's getting to be that time of year again...summer, sun and fun!

I'm still here and available for overnight stays and drop-in visits.
I've already been booked for appointments as far out as October. The sooner you book, the more likely I am available. I usually know my EMS schedule for the month 2 weeks prior to the beginning of each month. I'm sometimes available at a last minutes notice, but that's not always guaranteed.
I hope this message finds everyone well, as always, thank you for your continued support over these last 8 years of caring for you and your 4-legged family members. It's been a pleasure becoming a part of your "fur-ever" family.

I apologize to my clients and followers that I haven't posted in some time. I'm blessed that I've had so many bookings, as well as having picked up more time as an EMT in my area. I do have spaces open for drop-ins and overnight stays beginning this new year. Please know I do schedule my EMS schedule the 15th of the month for the following month. If you're local to some of Logan County, I can normally fit you in depending on the need and area in which you live. I'm doing the very best I can to accommodate folks. So, if you have a scheduling need, please let me know as far in advance as possible. I normally work days in EMS, so if you live outside of town of Belle Center and I work that day, it's unlikely I can help with drop-ins. If overnight, it's more likely. I appreciate all of you, and apologize for any inconvenience for those that require drop-ins. I'm here to serve, but being a first responder, it's sometimes difficult. Blessings for a wonderful New Year to all of you.

Hi friends! I wanted to check in and see how you and all your fur babies are doing! It's been a very steady summer at W&W, but I'm so thankful! I wanted to add a note to you and anyone looking, it's not only cats and dogs that I care for, I am able to also help with any unconventional animals as well! Chickens, horses, caged animals...you get the idea 😊 Again, I offer drop-ins and overnight stays, i am bonded and insured as well as pet CPR certified. I am a certified vet assistant and an EMT with Belle Center, so healthcare and any medication necessities can be accommodated. I serve mostly the Belle Center, Bellefontaine, Indian Lake, Rushsylvania, Zanesfield, and Kenton areas. Some others if availability exists. Cost depends on the number of animals, for multiples of animals, I work upon agreement as well as ability to pay depending on your financial needs. Again, thank you all for your support over the last over 7 years!

Hi everyone! Just a quick post to let everyone know I will be out of commission starting this coming Tuesday for possibly 2 weeks. I'll be having a procedure done the 27th that will leave me in a recovery period of about 2 weeks. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

06/09/2022

Booked in September, very little left in October, some availability in November, booked for Christmas, and have bookings for next year already! Very blessed with all of you! I may possibly take Thanksgiving off this year for my family, as I work most holidays for many other families. I will also be unavailable the weekend of November 11, everyone should have their birthdays free! 🥰

Our Story

Hi, my name is Charla Blair. I am a certified Veterinary Assistant, Professional Pet Sitter and animal lover, as true as they come, and I believe that they are part of our families. I have had many pets in my lifetime, everything from cats to dogs and rabbits to horses. Including my 10 current indoor cats and all the strays that drop by from time to time to get their heads scratched and bellies fed :). My passion is animal care and welfare and I worked for the Logan County Humane Society until they closed their doors in 2016. I had the pleasure of caring for all of those abandoned and abused, showing them that love was possible.

I wasn’t ready to give up caring for animals, so I started Walks & Wags shortly after the Humane Society closed in 2016 to provide a safe, comfortable alternative to boarding by keeping your pets at your home in their own environment while you’re away. I believe they deal with the separation better by being in their own familiar environment, which reduces the stress and anxiety that they may feel by being boarded in a kennel with other strange animals. I am able to maintain their daily routines and give them more one-on-one attention. With that all being said, I am here to help those with busy lives a chance to keep their pets (any pets) comfortably at home while they work or travel, and at competitive rates. I am bonded and insured, an active member of NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters), and volunteer with Animal Haven when I can. In November 2017, I became a permit holder to rescue, rehab and release wildlife here in Ohio, another volunteer venture I’m humbled to be able to offer our community. Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions, let me know how I can help give you peace of mind by keeping your fur babies at home.
