New Homes for Rescued Farm Animals work to find safe and loving forever homes for farm animals in need. Farm Animal placements are treated in the same way that domestic pets are handled, with a focus on the animals' needs and welfare and keeping them out of the commodity market. We provide support to owners who wish to find good homes to their "farm" pets by assisting with application screening, property inspections, adoption agreements and follow up checks.

Dear Pig lovers. We are looking to rehome our pet pig Biggles. Currently Biggles is happy and safe with us in Suburbia Perth until we find him a new home. We adopted Biggles from a Perth Baby Animal petting farm when he became too big to be a baby! We adopted Biggles about 5 years ago and he is used to being solo. Our council allows one pig up to 50kg and he far exceeds this. So, because of Biggles size and that we need to downsize, these are the 2 biggest reasons Biggles needs a new home.
Biggles is a content boy who spends most of the day in a good sized pen, and then 'free- ranges' in the rest of the yard most days.

Like all pigs Biggles loves his food. We feed him morning and night with goat muesli (his favourite) and any left over vegetables and salad from our kitchen (and friends and family)
Biggles is in excellent health and has no ailments and can still run fast.

He is happy to roam on his own and forage around the garden and turn over the mulch. Obviously Biggles needs a large area to roam and exercise, and he is not a cuddlesome pig. Biggles comes to you when called , but will expect food! We would really like to rehome Biggles asap. We would welcome anyone interested to visit and meet Biggles ( we are 20km from CBD)

We have had Biggles for 5 1/2 years so I think he is about 61/2 or 7 years old

Introducing little Ramsey - a wild born baby in need of a forever home. Little is known about this cheeky and loveable little man.

Found alone near Exmouth it is suspected he was picked up further south and "let go" closer to town. Fortunately he found his way into the care of the dedicated volunteers at Exmouth Wildlife Care. Arriving at approx 1 - 2 weeks of age, Ramsey is now approx 7 weeks of age. He has slotted in well for the last few weeks, befriending the bigger joeys in care and is very cuddly and smoochy with the humans however we are eager to find him some goat friends to be with. He will be arriving in Perth Monday 17th July.

Can you give Ramsay a forever home??

Penny Pig is in need of a new home!
Surrendered to one of our dedicated foster carers Penny needs a new pad to call home.
Little is known about her history however what we do know about this beautiful girl is:
- She is approx 1 year old.
- LOVES Belly rubs.
- Will take treats ever so gently from you
- Is working on her soccer skills nudging her treat ball around her paddock
- Is very affectionate and loves human interactions.

Please DM (with your email) or email [email protected] to obtain a copy of our expression of interest form.

When considering Penny please consider the following:
- Pigs have the intelligence of a human toddler and are ranked as the fifth most intelligent animal in the world! In fact, pigs are more intelligent and trainable than any breed of dog.
- Does your shire / council allow for the keeping of pigs as not all do.
- Do you have adequate shelter, fencing, and stimulus for Penny?
- Does your property have a P.I.C

A massive shout out to our wonderful foster carers and also to everyone who enquired about and sent messages for Lilith and Vindaloo. We are pleased that they are currently on their way to their new home where their only worry will be when the next weetbix is coming.

As with these 2, we are always receiving calls and messages about animals in need. If you can help with transport (at short notice), can foster or can adopt please DM us or email [email protected] with how you can help. With lamb and kidding season imminent we will be sure to be welcoming new arrivals shortly.

Today we learned of the sad passing of Ollie. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Ollie's owners and to his best friend Oreo.

We should never underestimate the powerful draw of a bond with a being that loves us unconditionally, asking very little in return. Losing this comfort and source of joy can be incomprehensible.” – Linda Lipshutz

Rest now magical Rene - we will miss you forever 💔

At dawn we received the call we were dreading, little Rene had crashed in clinic, her latest health issue had hit hard and her little lungs were failing. As we scrabbled to get to the vet hospital, our hearts hurt knowing that the fragile fawn that had filled our world - and the hearts of so many supporters - was losing her fight.

Surviving a serious knock from a vehicle, losing her mum, travelling to Perth with the kindest of rescuers and settling with a new family, little Rene had been through so much in her short five weeks. She learnt to bark, discovered the Sanctuary kitchen and recovered from a broken hip. Rene loved her pink hippo, demanded chin rubs and loved watching the volunteers pass by. She showed so many how clever and affectionate deer can be.

This past week Rene struggled through multiple vet visits and health checks, but at each one, she nuzzled her handlers and helpers as she gave her absolute all to stay. Rene means ‘reborn’ - and while it was for too short a time, her journey mattered. She was an ambassador of her kind. Caring for Rene aka Comet 💫 was the biggest privilege imaginable - she won hearts and minds, and will never be forgotten 💕🦌

Introducing the perfect gentleman Jackson.

Jackson is a 13yo Bay Standardbred gelding and is approx 16.3hh.

Jackson is green under saddle and therefore would be best suited with an experienced and confident rider however he has been described as "fairly quiet to ride". He has been lead with young Children (approx 8 -10yrs) in hand around an arena at a walk where he behaved impeccably.

His feet have been attended to by a farrier every 6 weeks and his teeth were last done approx. 12m ago.

If you are interested in Jackson please email [email protected] or DM us.

Male Dorper RAM seeking a new paddock to call home. Can you help him???

We are unsure about his medical history, age, temperament etc however what we do know is he has found himself at one the animal care facilities since the 13/12. He has patiently been waiting for his flock to come and rescue him however no one has come. If you have a P.I.C and can accomodate this little man please DM us.

You will need to be prepared to get him castrated or have him securely in a paddock away from ewes

Shall we all open our hearts to be a forever home for pets looking for a second chance??

The past couple of months has seen Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary inundated with requests to find new homes for animals which can no longer be cared for, whose owners circumstances have changed or for little ones making an escape and finding themselves impounded in local council facilities.

We have been fortunate to be able to find a home through our rehoming register to date however with the increased inquiries we need to expand our register.

If you have room in your heart and also your property and have:
- A P.I.C.
- Adequate fencing
- Adequate shelter
- Breed Experience

Please DM or email [email protected] your interest. Please include your location along with what animals you would like to be considered for.

Our hearts are broken as we realise little Nimbus won’t be there to greet us with his infectious smile and cutest little baaaaaah

Rest peacefully sweet Nimbus 🌈💙

Last week, Nimbus was awarded an RSPCA WA Animal Welfare Award for his fighting spirit and ability to find joy in the little things every day.

With his cute as a button face and his lovable personality, it’s not a shock that we completely fell in love with little Nimbus.

We were devastated to hear last night that he crossed the rainbow bridge. 😭

Everyone here at RSPCA WA is sending their love and condolences to Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary – sending you love though your pain 💙

These 2 beautiful boys are still seeking their forever home!

Hi Im Todd, I'm approx. 3 years old, a wether and a Saanen x Cashmere
&
Im Gustaf, also approx. 3 years old, a wether and a Saanen

We are both very curious, fun loving and gentle goats who need to find a new flock due to one of our humans becoming ill.

We love hangin' with humans and "helping" them with their daily chores.

Have you got room in your hearts and paddocks for these 2 adorable boys? If you:
- Have a P.I.C.
- Have adequate fencing to contain the boys
- Have experience with goats

Please email [email protected] or DM (please include your email address) to express your interest.
