Meet Lolli, the Energetic and Loving Terrier!
This playful 6-month-old spayed girl is searching for an active, experienced family to call her own. Lolli is full of life and loves to run, jump, and explore. She's an intelligent pup who is eager to learn and bond with her new humans.
Ideal Home Requirements:
No cats or small animals: Lolli has a strong prey drive and would be best suited in a home without them.
Fenced yard: A secure outdoor space is essential for her to burn off energy.
Another playful dog or doggy daycare: Lolli would thrive in a home with a canine companion or enjoy attending daycare.
Very active family: She needs lots of exercise and would do best with owners who enjoy walking, running, or hiking.
Children in home are 10+: Lolli is still learning manners and may be a bit mouthy or jumpy, making her a better fit for older children.
About Lolli:
Endless energy: Lolli is a high-energy dog who loves to play and explore.
Some training done: She's already crate-trained and eager to learn new commands.
Loving and affectionate: Despite her playful energy, Lolli is a sweet and loving companion.
If you're an active family looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Lolli might be the perfect fit for you!

Meet our special needs girl, Kenzie! She was in an Alabama shelter for a couple of months and showed signs of a neurological issue. Our southern partner was able to secure a foster for Kenzie, and we have been working together as a team to support this courageous pup. Kenzie is five months old, 15 lbs, and the sweetest!
Kenzie is doing amazing in her foster home. She is fully potty trained, affectionate, bright, alert, and responsive. Although she has a wobbly gait, she is gaining strength and her mobility has improved. She recently had an appointment with a neurologist who diagnosed Kenzie with a cerebellar disorder as well as visual impairment most likely due to a birth defect or an infection of some sort. Kenzie will soon be taking a trial drug to determine the next course of action. VT Dog Rescue would like to bring this deserving pup to VT, but to do that, we need a foster or a forever family. We are hopeful for the best outcome. One thing is evident, Kenzie has no idea she is different! She is a sweetheart and a fighter!

When Kenzi first arrived in her foster home
This sweet pup is Klein. Klein is 16 weeks old (as of 7/11/24) and currently weighs 20 lbs. Klein has typical puppy energy, is doing well with potty training, and is a happy-go-lucky boy. Klein is good with other dogs and children. Klein will do best in a home with a dog-savvy cat or one without a cat. Klein is learning so much in his amazing foster home and is now ready for his own home.
His foster mom shared:
Klein does amazing in his crate at night. When you put him in during the day, he will whine/howl for a minute, but settles down quickly. He loves to play, walks well on a leash, and enjoys playing with other dogs. He wants to play with my cats too, but is a bit rough and my cats just want to rub up on him so won't stay away. He eats quickly so a slow feeder or putting part of his meal in a kong slows him down. He has been great with going potty outside. He is practicing sit, come and fetch. His baby teeth are super sharp and he needs occasional reminding to chew on his toy when he thinks an arm or toy is fun to nibble on. He rides well in the car (does not drool or get sick). Does best when he has company to sit with- then he will just curl up and rest.We have taken him into Tractor Supply twice and he has been on his best behavior
While we can not confirm his specific mix, we believe he may be hound/mountain cur, possibly lab.
This spirited beauty is Brenna! Brenna’s birthday is 1/22/24, she weighs 21 lbs, and has the shiniest black coat. She is very smart, curious, and loves to play with other dogs.
Brenna can be a bit of a high-energy player so she would do best with another dog that can match her energy level. She learns quickly and will blossom in a home where she can continue her training. Brenna will need all the puppy basics as well as continued physical and mental exercise to support her sharp mind.
Although Brenna loves the companionship of other dogs, she can also be independent playing with her toys or napping in her crate. Brenna has been introduced to a leash and is doing well with leash walking. She is almost fully potty trained, sleeps through the night, and is well adjusted to a crate.
Our best guess is that Brenna is a lab mix and we expect her to be on the large size when fully grown. She has not been cat tested.
