Buddy is now accepting applications! 💙

This special pup is 2 years old, weighs 23 lbs and is thought to be a Pomeranian mix. Buddy is a local dog who needs rehoming due to the loss of housing.

Buddy is a great mix of energy - he has moments of playfulness but also loves belly rubs and snuggles! Not only is this boy adorable, but he is very friendly, gets along well with other dogs, and is a great watchdog! 🐾

🏡Forever Home Friday🏡

We recently received this update from Bella’s adopter…

“About 9 years ago, we adopted now Bella, sister to Bert. She is doing great and has been a blessing over the years. She is a little black lab/pit bull mix lady, (we think) built like a 55 lb mack truck and fast as the wind. She is a smart, loving, cuddly, inquisitive girl who loves her morning body and belly rubs. She has to know where her Mama is at all times, and loves to play with her other family pup cousins. Bella has yet to see a human or dog that she doesn't want to say hi and lets play together. What Vermont Dog Rescue does is bring happiness to the lives of these pups and those lucky enough to have them.”

We are thrilled to hear Bella is still doing so well and providing her adoptive mom with lots of love and companionship. Thank you for the update and for adopting with VT Dog Rescue! 🙏🏻❤️

Sweet Tazzy is available for adoption! She is 4 months old, about 25 lbs and has the most soulful eyes. 🐾

Tazzy loves other dogs, is outgoing, social and loving. While originally thought to be a Terrier mix, we have learned that Tazzy has webbed feet and loves water so perhaps she has some lab in her too! Whatever breeds make up her DNA, she is 100% sweetness.

Meet Bailey! Bailey and her siblings were strays brought to an LA shelter along with their emaciated mom. Mom and the pups had been living under a neighborhood shed. Their southern foster home nursed them back to health (and adopted the male of the litter). The remaining two females pups are now available for adoption.

Bailey is 3-4 months old and is guessed to be a Terrier mix. She is sweet, loving and a little more reserved than her outgoing sister! :)

We are giving Bailey a little extra time to settle into her new foster home but are accepting applications. If interested, please apply at www.vtdogrescue.com/application

Introducing Buddy! Buddy is our most recent intake. This little guy is needing to be rehomed due to loss of housing.

Buddy is guessed to be 2 yrs old and is a Pomeranian mix. He loves human attention and is fine with other dogs. He has not been around cats, but we think he would do okay with them.

Buddy has an appointment soon to be updated on his vaccinations and will also be neutered. He is settling into his foster home, and we will have updates to share soon.

Meet Tazzy! Taz is a 3-4 month old pup who came into a Louisiana shelter with her two siblings and emaciated mama. Tazzy is social, confident and playful. She has been around other dogs and enjoys cuddling up next to them.

While we don't know her breed, our best guess is a Terrier mix. Tazzy is crate-trained and up to date on her vaccinations. She is doing well with potty training.

✨Forever Home Friday Update!✨

Flynn has been adopted by his foster family! 🎉 We knew this boy was something special from the very beginning. Flynn is going to be training as a therapy dog! We look forward to hearing about his many future adventures.

Here's what his handler in the family had to say “Flynn has been the best boy ever! I love him so much! He LOVESSSS to be under your blankets to cuddle and is a very sassy and goofy boy who loves the sun. 😂 I am working with him on his recall and just overall, so he is ready for to be with me in my dorm! He is such a good boy and man does he love his chew toys!"

Flynn is a special soul and will provide comfort to many. Wishing him and his family all the best. Happy Life sweet Flynn! ❤

The pups are on their way north! We are excited to welcome Tazzy (black pup) and Bailey (tan/white pup) to Vermont on Saturday. 🥰
