Thanks to Helen for sending me a rainbow catnip banana thing. I gave it a good battering, then Purdie rolled around with it for a while. But Misha must have smelled it from The Tower and came striding in, straight past food and anything else of interest, and claimed it as his own. We loved it. Thank you.
And from the same day a very quiet view from The Tower.
Hot & bothered #banditinthesun
I’ve had a very disturbed night. The responsibility of interrupting the humans’ sleep is so tiring and I have a sore throat with all the repeated calls of “I know I didn’t want in 20 seconds ago when the door was open, but now you’re back in bed I need you to get back up and give me another chance”. I must have said that 500 times last night. It’s all recorded on the CM’s Sleep App. 217 individual recordings of disturbance last night. I can’t take credit for all if it as there is a significant amount of snoring and, at one point in the early hours, the CM is recorded mumbling “FGS Parsley, why don’t you go to the pub you little s**t”. I might have done, but even The Balmoral has to close at some point. For the sake of accuracy, it should be noted that the CF gets up about 5 times to the CM’s 1.
So as you can imagine, I’m needing to catch up on some sleep and if anyone disturbs me I’ll be furious.
Great excitement. We’ve got a new sofa bed and even better the old one is available for unrestricted scratching. The cushions have already been dumped so we have full access into previously unseen areas. The first people to use the new sofa bed will be Diego and Emmanuel who are visiting soon. Diego adores Humza so I suspect there will be three sharing the bed. There was a tiny bit of concern that Misha wouldn’t like the change of furniture but he couldn’t give a toss as long as he’s got his own blanket. I could have told them that. Notice how we now live in a black and white world with at least 50 shades of grey. Humza and I are the only colours in the humans’ lives. Misha and Purdie are virtually invisible and we are all quite happy with our status.
We posted this this morning and it hasn’t appeared so trying again. (Only) I was permitted into the inner sanctum of the bedroom for some present opening this morning. That’s because, if you remember, I know how to behave. There are two firsts in this video (not in a good way), there’s the CF in what he calls his housecoat and the CM calls his dressing gown. That’s nearly two years they’ve been married and he’s defiantly stuck to his own terminology. In a further show of defiance, the second “first” in here is the CM filmed, still in bed and just awake. Viewers of a sensitive disposition shouldn’t watch at all. There were presents for us all and we are extremely grateful to Helen for everything including the festive box. We’re not sure where Helen is from. Maybe Yorkshire? I still have more presents and treats to attend to later when the humans return from work. Until then 💤💤
