Sad news but at the same time hearing his name come up on the news brought me some awesome memories.
I remember one time hearing him talk about falling in love with his soon to be wife, when she got on stage to be interviewed on his show. If I remember right, when she got on stage, he looked at her and thought to himself “Oh Momma!” lol. It wasn’t long after Marla Thomas and Phil Donohue got married. He was a legend and really created the the format to the day time talk show. He was brilliant.
RIP Mr Donohue!
His cause of death was not disclosed, though loved ones said he'd been suffering from a “long illness.”
