After many years of fighting serious food allergies and learning how the mass-produced pet food industry operates, our co-founder Alissa began making home-made food for her dogs. Charlie & Izzi began to improve almost immediately, but the process was time-consuming and messy. Seeing few options for fresh and healthy pet food made from ingredients that are safe for humans to eat, an idea was born i

n late 2014. A casual lunch meeting between friends in the summer of 2015 would turn the idea into a deliverable product: nutritionally complete base recipes that can be ordered as is, or customized to avoid specific allergens. All base recipes have been tested (eaten) by the humans, and are approved by our team of highly qualified tasters.
