Pretty Rum Tum Tum is all grown up and we still miss her daily, but I think she’s loving the Eastern U.S. 🥰

"Wish"
When you wish upon a star, you get this incredibly lovely, sweet and happy girl! Wish is a delightful puppy with low-moderate energy. Wish will come with her own "built in" magic wand on her chest, where she has a small, thin white stripe. White on the chest is common, dating back to the origins of the breed. She will be best suited for a pet home where she can be spoiled and play some casual fetch. She might love to have a companion to play with as well. She is a thoughtful and quiet problem solver and will be eager to please her family. She is always looking toward you for direction and is not over-zealous with her affection, though she does like to snuggle up on your lap. Wish will make an excellent cuddler.
If you think Wish may be a good fit for your family, don't hesitate to fill out a puppy application. You can see a list of our puppies on our website, complete with each of their bios. Don’t miss a great opportunity to bring one of these incredible girls home, I’d keep them all if I could. They are all so consistent yet different within their own personalities. This is such a great group of puppies. Ready to go as early as Friday, August 30th. I’m in no rush to place these girls and they will begin more in depth training within the next few weeks, if they’re still here, for a good puppy head start. Beyond that they will go on to get a solid obedience under their belt.

P.S. I am still having issues with people receiving my emails and it has come to my attention that I too am not getting everyone’s emails. After all the trouble shooting, I’m still not able to identify the source of the issue. I do know I WILL get your completed applications through my website (at least I’ve not been made aware of any submitted not coming through) and I will follow up with a text or a phone call after I’ve had time to review it. “Trick”
Trick is one of our available girls looking for the right family. This girl is as sweet as they come! She has just the right amount of energy and drive to be the perfect retriever and family companion. She will fit well into almost any home. She adores people and is always down for a belly rub. She’s will have a nice off switch, yet doesn’t lack the necessary drive to be a successful retriever. Icing on the cake? She’s going to look good doing it. Not interested in retrieving? No problem, she would do well in just about any type of home. She is by no means a puppy that will require a job, she will be satisfied being a loved family pet that you throw the ball for.

Gravy (Gator X Poppy) loves running water. He likes to dunk half his face in the water and then starts drinking 🤣. He’s a quick learner. Doing good with sit/stay, place, “leave it” and retrieving. Such a handsome guy! ❤️

The Magic Litter had their Vet visit the other day and everyone checked out great! They all got vaccines, microchips, another course of dewormer and started on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. They were all such champs for their exams and vaccines, although not much of a fan of the microchip, but that’s to be expected.
We are still accepting puppy applications, however we only have females available. There are some really lovely girls in this litter with such delightful personalities. I will be sharing more bios soon. Puppies are ready to go home beginning Friday, August 30th. Completed puppy applications are required to be considered, unless you are already one of our puppy families.

Lamons’ Black Magic Woman
“Voodoo”
Voodoo is a sassy, spunky girl with a lot of drive! She will likely be more petite, but that will only make her more agile in and out of a boat for retriever work. She’s an active girl who will thrive with a job. I think she’d be really fun to get on an agility course as she matures as well. She loves human interaction and does well with other dogs and cats as well! Her bird drive was one of the best in the litter. I expect her to mature to be about 55-60lbs. She has a lovely, cute head with nice conformation. She is looking for an active family who plans to hunt, or potentially compete in a sport such as agility or dock diving.

Matches are made, emails sent. We do have one male available at this time! I will have more information on which boy that is soon. We do also have some females available. I’m still working through the girls so will have more to share about them once I’m finished.
All of the boys tested exactly as I expected. They usually do, but it’s nice to have the temperament test as a tool for their future families ☺️

Some quick pictures and a brief update this morning while their pen was getting cleaned.
The Magic Litter is 7 weeks old and doing fantastic! This weekend we are temperament testing and I will get some good pictures of everyone as well so we can share a few bios after matches are made. Yes, we do still have availability and are still accepting puppy applications. These end of Summer babies, timing doesn’t always work well for people with school starting back up, and most of our waiting list is waiting until our next litter due here next month. Please understand, as I say this any time we have a puppy longer than 12 weeks, that prices do increase as additional training is completed. However, if you’re interested in taking home a bit later and afraid I won’t be able to hold, that is not a concern, I am flexible and easy to work with.
All puppy information and parent’s health testing information can be found on our website. A completed puppy application is required to be considered. I do things the way I do because I truly invest my heart and soul in every puppy and litter. They all take a piece of me when they leave. ❤️
Also somehow managed to get no pictures of Voodoo again, she’s always busy messing with me instead of trying to get her picture taken, her time is coming 😅

Jet (Lamons’ You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out) has been working hard in the offseason and has earned his first dock diving title and is already working on the next tier! Videos in comments because Facebook won’t allow me to post both pictures and videos at the same time 🙄. So proud of both Jet and his Dad for putting in the work!
Jet is sired by Tenderheart Magic Mike and out of Lamons’ Scarlett Letter from our 2021 Christmas Litter.

The Magic Litter is 6 weeks old!!
How is this possible you ask? I have no clue!
They’re doing great! This weekend we will begin exposure to kennels to start getting them comfortable and familiar with the kennel to give them a head start on kennel training. Eating and demanding attention is one of their favorite pastimes these days! They love playing with our kiddos and soak up every bit of attention they can get. Temperament testing will take place next weekend so we can help match these babies to the homes that will fit them best.

We do have availability! They are ready to go in just over 2 weeks! Go home date is set for the weekend of August 24th, but I am flexible with pick up dates, that is just the earliest they will be ready to go. Puppy applications can be found on our website. Repeat puppy families do receive a repeat buyer discount and do not need to fill out an application. Whether looking for a family companion, retriever, dock diver, therapy or obedience prospect then these are the puppies for you. This is such a well rounded litter that truly defines what a Labrador should be.

We got some time outside this morning soaking up the sunshine and getting some fresh air before it got too warm. Their whelping box has turned into an outside pen to keep them contained while they’re outside for short periods and off the grass still until they’re a bit older. They got to experience some new textures, see some new sights and hear some new noises. Yesterday everyone got their first real bath.

Our third and final litter of 2024 is set to arrive in just over a month! Our 2025 litter plans are still very fluid, but it likely won’t be until Summer 2025 before we have puppies again.
If all goes according to plan, we are expecting a litter sired by Bluff View What’s Up Doc At Hicklin Creek out of Lamons’ Little Miss Sure Shot due at the beginning of September.
Many thanks to Hicklin Creek Labradors for allowing us to use Doc on such short notice! This will be a black and yellow litter and at this time we are only accepting applications for black puppies in this litter, though I don’t expect much if any availability. This is will be Oakley’s second and final litter. Her first litter, the Jurassic World Litter was sired by Duck Dance Old River Dark Night “RP” and produced some really incredible puppies. We have had one other litter sired by “Doc”, and that was our Pink Ladies litter out of “Poppy”, which all turned out fantastic. I expect this will be a really nice litter and I am excited to see how these puppies will turn out! I will be contacting families on our waiting list over the next week to confirm their spots, so keep your eyes peeled!

Last, but certainly not least, is the sweet little Voodoo. She is the smallest of the bunch, but that doesn’t take away from her in any ways. Fun sized fact, her Momma was also the smallest of her litter, but ended up growing to be the same size as any of our other dogs have matured. She will likely just need a bit extra time to catch up and will reach her full size potential. To top it off she has the sweetest face and personality 💜

PUPDATE: Winona (Doc X Poppy) sure knows how to beat the heat!
Aside from finding a couple snacks in the ring this girl really had a good outing today! I was so proud of how she handled, it was probably her best outing yet. No love outside of classes, but that’s alright, there will be many more shows in her future. And at the end of the day, we went home with the best dog and had fun 😉

Prairie Roses’ The Jokers Jewel At Lamons “Biscuit” took her class today! We couldn’t be prouder of our wild child!
