We are a registered non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization based in Colorado dedicated to saving dogs.

All Aboard Animal Rescue (AAAR) is a rescue group based in Northern Colorado dedicated to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters from areas like Texas and New Mexico. We take these dogs and give them a second chance at life, and connect these dogs with their forever homes. Our rescue is foster based, meaning that our dogs are in home environments until they find that perfect home.

Foster call for TOMORROW until next* Saturday! 🆘🐶

AAAR is overflowing with adorable pups, and we just can’t stand to see them stuck in the shelter. With your support, we can give these sweet souls the chance to find loving homes where they can relax and await their happily ever after.

Some of these cuties will do great with a Tuesday to next* Saturday commitment, however we ask that those with extended availability foster the adult dogs listed who require a two week minimum commitment (see last slide for list).

Sweet boy Rooster is recovering from a neuter surgery, and is wearing the cone of shame like a champ! 💪 Adopt Rooster today!

From his amazing foster: “This little rooster boy is so special! He’s been a really good sport wearing his cone, but I can still tell he’s a playful and cuddly guy. He wants to be my shadow and has done a good job coming with me to work. He has not had any accidents in your household. He does like to chase my cats, so a household without them would be best. When I leave the house, he does whine and bark the door, so apartment living is not for this boy. Overall yes the best and sweetest guy!

URGENT
Foster home needed for Becca 💓🐶

Becca came to AAAR as a precious lil teenage girl in March of this year. She was sadly returned to us in August for needing to be in a home free of children. Becca, true to her breed thrives with routine, stability and keeping her circle of human friends small. She has no interest in endless strangers entering her life as this causes her significant stress. We are looking for a minimum two week foster commitment with an experienced handler. A fenced yard will be key to Becca’s success as she can become easily unnerved encountering strangers out on walks. Becca does fantastic with her doggie friends and may even benefit from being housed with a pup she can gain confidence from. Still being a big puppy, Becca can play a bit rough so her doggie friends should be medium sized and larger to ensure no one is squished! Becca’s ideal handler will be prepared to advocate for her needs with keen observation and preventative measures. The AAAR team will be available to guide the process toward success with each day!

Look at this perfect whale eyed boy! Adopt Haku to get all the snuggles and love you’ll ever need! 🧸

From his AMAZING foster: “This big boy has lived a short yet hard life but he is the definition of a survivor! Since arriving to AAAR at only 31 pounds, he has worked hard to gain almost 45 pounds. With that strength, he has also learned that he loves to talk. Whether it’s to give you his opinion or express his undying appreciation for you, he is never short on words...or barks. He knows how to sit like a proper gentleman and lay down. As long as he has a comfy blankie to cuddle with, he will kennel up! With some patience and trust building, he’ll come a long way! He enjoys playing with medium sized dogs he’s not always sure of big dogs. He does need some extra time, patience and knowledge, but he’s the perfect boy. Cookies and treats are his favorite and he is very treat oriented. He’s such a cuddly boy and loves his people. Haku is looking for someone who has as much love to give as he does. Someone who is ready to show him the world, continue his training to work his brain and give him a consistent, safe and loving family.”

Foster needed TOMORROW until next* Saturday for sweet miss Moondance 🌙

From her previous foster:
“Moondance is a big goofy love bug! She loves to plop right next to you and hangout or follow you around wherever you go! She LOVES to play tug a war and will put her toy right up to your hand so you play with her! She also loves fetch, going on walks/runs and car rides! She will curl up right next to you (or on your pillow) and sleep all through the night too:) She’s still figuring out her strength and size as she may take you on a walk and pull you a bit! She is a very good listener and knows “sit”and “down” while also if you call her she will come running right to you! She has never had an accident and is so good about going up to the door to the backyard when she has to go potty!! Moondance is so happy to meet every person she sees but does get a bit stressed out in rooms with a lot of people she is unsure of but she is getting a lot better!!! Moondance would be perfect in a home that is a little more quiet and maybe the only dog so she can be in the spotlight! She has so much love to give and is truly such a sweetheart that you will fall in love with instantly! ”

From her amazing foster: “Even though sweet Bessie may be older and have arthritis, boy does she have some energy! She loves following you around ANYWHERE and if you are standing still there’s a good chance she’ll be walking around you in circles but she does enjoy her couch cuddle time as well. I will say, curiosity is strong when it comes to this one! Any chance she gets she’ll try to sneak out of the door with you just because she wants to join in on the adventure! She’s an absolute goofball and joy to have around! Shes just happy to be in anyones presence at any time.”

“The cutest baby on the planet aka Mandy. She’s playful yet sleepy and knows how to put a smile on any face. She’s always down for a nap snuggled as close as dogly possible. But immediately after she wakes up be prepared for lots of pouncing and playful growls. She goes potty outside for the most part or whines when she needs to go out and is perfectly content in her crate. If you want the most perfect puppy Mandy is the one for you.”

“Mr Petey is the absolute sweetest gentlest boy around. He loves babies and will sit on your lap at any given opportunity! He does like being the top dog, but he plays so gentle with the smaller pups. We are working on manners for bigger dogs but with the right introductions he loves everybody!”

This week’s #wherearetheywednesday is sweet Luna! 🥹🐾❤️ Luna, formerly known as Andora, was adopted from All Aboard in September of 2013! From Luna's family: "Adopting Luna was one of the best decisions of our lives. She is truly the best dog and has changed our lives so much. She is smart, sweet, friendly, and so well mannered. We love seeing her play with our other dogs, our 2 cats, and being so patient with the countless foster puppies we bring home. She has always been there for us, through thick and thin, and I swear can tell when we are sad. She cuddles up next to us and makes everything feel better. Her favorite activities are long slow walks with lots of sniffing, sun bathing in our back yard, playing in shallow water, and chewing on squeaky toys!
