We are a registered non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization based in Colorado dedicated to saving dogs.

All Aboard Animal Rescue (AAAR) is a rescue group based in Northern Colorado dedicated to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters from areas like Texas and New Mexico. We take these dogs and give them a second chance at life, and connect these dogs with their forever homes. Our rescue is foster based, meaning that our dogs are in home environments until they find that perfect home.

This week’s is Brutus formerly known as Elmo!!

Brutus came to us from our shelter partners and was adopted in march 2020 by their incredible family!

Here’s what Brutus has been up to since their adoption:

“Brutus (formerly Elmo) is the light of my life. I adopted him not knowing the world was going to shut down 2 days later due to Covid. He’s smart, funny, and well-trained (thanks to FoCo Dog Wizard). We now live in South Jersey where he loves to explore woodlands and hills that are just a *little* smaller than Colorado mountains. He’s a hot mess sometimes, but he’s the best 4-legged son I could’ve asked for!”

THANK YOU to all the rescuers, medical team, transporters, fosters, volunteers, and adoptive family involved in finding Brutus his forever home and for the beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. ❤️

Adopt Ariel! 🧜‍♀️

From her amazing foster:
Meet Ariel! Ariel’s story will tug at your heartstrings—this sweet girl was found living on a dirty old mattress with nothing to call her own. But her life has completely turned around! Now, Ariel gets to snooze on cozy blankets and big, comfy dog beds, soaking up all the love and care she deserves.

In her foster home, Ariel is the perfect mix of cuddly and independent. She LOVES snuggling on the couch, her favorite spot to curl up. At bedtime, she might join you for some affection, but after a while, she heads back to her kennel (which stays open all night!) and sleeps peacefully until morning. In our space Ariel is fully kennel-trained, sleeps through the entire night without a peep, and is rocking potty training too!

While Ariel has her bursts of puppy energy and loves playing with her toys, most of the day she’s pretty chill and spends a lot of time snoozing. She’s also started private training classes and is already a star student! She’s learned “sit” and enjoys using her brain to search for treats during her clicker training sessions.

From a rough start to a bright, joyful future, Ariel is ready to find her forever family. Could you be the one to give her the happy ending she’s been waiting for?

“Thelma’s been doing amazing! She’s very playful and loves her treats! I had to take care of our family‘s dog and she did amazing with her! They had so much fun playing and even slept together! We’ve been working on the command “stay “and she’s learning pretty quickly!”

“Sweet lovable pup who loves to cuddle up with her person and is still adjusting to this Colorado cold. Ibis gets the zoomies in the morning and loves going for her morning walks. She’s a very loyal companion and doesn’t leave her persons side. She gets along with her furry cat friends and loves her outfits. She would make a great family pet as she is calm, gentle and a low maintenance girl.”

We are dedicated to making a difference by providing essential resources and care to enhance the quality of life for animals. As their voice, we advocate for their well-being by raising awareness to the shelter crisis, promoting responsible pet guardianship, and ensuring compassionate treatment for all animals.

Our vision is to create a world where every animal is understood with empathy, treated with kindness and respect, and where the unique bond between humans and animals is cherished and nurtured to enrich all lives.

Adopt Bubbles 🫧💗

Update from her amazing foster:
“We’ve seen Bubbles continue to blossom in foster care. ❤️ She is still a spunky queen with a zest for life but we’ve now been able to see her more relaxed and secure side. She has started to make huge strides with her separation anxiety. She is happy to sleep in her cozy crate at night and when we leave the house she has gotten more comfortable with staying in her crate and being calm for reasonable periods of time. We have seen her be more relaxed on the dog camera when we aren’t home which is a big step for Bubbles as it seemed like before she was concerned about being left behind. In many ways she is showing more confidence with this growth. We have also been impressed with Bubbles’s recall when we call her to come inside from the backyard. She is treat motivated, making her eager to learn and participate in training. We’ve seen her do really well with routine and pick up the daily routines quickly! She’s been playful and friendly with our two other boys dogs and is very cuddly with them and loves to give humans cuddles too! Speaking of humans- Bubbles loves attention and makes new human friends everywhere she goes! We supervised her interactions with the kids in our family and she has shown to enjoy their company. She has shown to be great on leash making her enjoyable to take on walks and how can forget she is small but mighty- great for those folks looking for a small sized pup. Bubbles never fails to make us smile and laugh every single day. If you are looking for playful, energetic, smart, and spunky pup Bubbles is your girl! Definitely a good dog for pet parent who is active and like to have fun.“

“Mark is a handsome guy who is extremely friendly with all humans. He has loved having another dog with him in the house. Mark has been a great puppy who is a total cuddle bug—his favorite spot is snuggled up next to you in bed. He’ll be your loyal shadow, following you around the house to keep you company and see what you’re up to. He is also a very curious boy who loves to go on walks and explore. He’s already picking up some basic tricks and is eager to keep learning with you! This speckled cutie moved to a new foster home on Saturday and is doing great! Moving around to a new home too often can be especially hard on adult dogs often times. AAAR is always looking for long term foster homes with a fenced yard where our beloved adults like Ghost can thrive! This week’s is Frankie, previously known as Freddie!

Frankie came to us from our shelter partners in July of 2023 and was adopted in August that year by their incredible family!

Here’s what Freddie has been up to since their adoption:

Frankie has been the absolute best addition to our lives. My wife and I rescued him at about 2 months old and he is now a year and a half. He is so sweet, loves to go outside and best of all, he loves to try new things with us. He was a little timid as a pup, but now he is so pumped to go to the park, meet new dogs, go swimming and jump in the car for any adventure. Frankie loves to play hide and seek, listens so well to his training and even though he may still run away with a sock or two, he never ceases to put a smile on our faces. He is so loved and he is out, Frank and beans!
