Windsor friends - As many in town know, we have a missing teenager. Please call the hotline if you have any information at all. We have a wonderful community & this family needs our help.

UPDATE - Found safe!

Leonardo Cavazos, was last seen at his residence in the 1700 block of Long Shadow Dr. in Windsor, Colorado around 11 p.m. on October 18, 2024. He is approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall and 135 pounds with brown eyes and dark hair. Leonardo is known to be a gamer and rarely leaves his home. His family is worried for his safety as it is out of character to leave the house.

Friends, let's talk foxtails. They're stinkers as a plant and horrible for our doggo friends. One of our clients got one stuck in her paw, and had to go to emergency surgery for removal in less than 8 hours.

We're helping our friend recover. Shout to the emergency vets for the amazing care (& super fun leg wrap)!

Pet waste is a significant source of stormwater pollution. When precipitation comes in contact with pet waste left on the ground, harmful bacteria, parasites and nutrients are then transported through the stormwater sewer system (MS4) into the nearest downstream surface water body. 💩 It’s important to pick up after your pet because, after all, there is no P**p Fairy!

Find Windsor staff at Boardwalk Park in front of the lake this weekend, Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon so we can take a picture of YOUR P**p Fairy! 🧚 We’ll be geared up with fairy wings and tutus and taking pictures of pooches to be featured in an upcoming publication and on social media. WILDLIFE WARNING: A misplaced bear has been spotted in a tree in a neighborhood of Windsor. While the weather is excellent for lounging this morning, Colorado Parks & Wildlife are on their way to the scene to help relocate the bear to a more appropriate location.

Please "bear" with us and avoid the area so first responders can focus on removing the animal safely.

RTK - Who We Are

Welcome to Release the Krakens! LLC Professional Pet Care Services. I have owned various animals all my life...snakes, chinchillas, rodents, dogs and cats. With special needs pets of my own, I’d always struggled to find honest, trustworthy care for my own pets that could keep them as close to their routines as possible. As such, I have decided to pursue my dream of working with the furry side of our families.

We provide in-home pet sitting, check-in & dog walking services. A meet & greet (complimentary) is required before services are rendered so a full intake can be done with your pet(s). We can then determine the best option for your animals & discuss minimum visit requirements based on your requested services or vacation length.


  • In-Home Pet Sitting: Having someone stay in your home helps to decrease the stress that many pets may experience in a kennel situation. In-home pet sitting is also a perfect option for senior pets, pets with medical needs or those that may need a little TLC while you’re away.

  • Check-In Services: Our check-in service is a perfect option for a work week let-out and/or day trips. Multiple stops per day can be done as well (options will be discussed at the complimentary Meet & Greet). Visits last approximately 20-30-minutes.
