With an average of more than 70 puppers in our care Pekingese Haven's monthly running costs are substantial, with our food and vet bills being our biggest expense. We rely entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters to meet these expenses, and some months we really scrape the bottom of the barrel.

What your sponsorship means to a pupper in need :

Your donation will have a huge impact on the lives of the puppers at our sanctuary. It will help to provide:

• a safe warm shelter

• tasty, nutritious food

• medical checks and life saving operations

• fun activities to build trust and confidence

• cuddles, toys and games to make their stay a happy one

• behaviour training to help them find the right new home

Hello everyone, my name is Jayjay.I am a Pekingese Doggo and I am 5 years old.
I have been here at The Haven quite a long time and I
love it here, but it would be so nice if I could find a
place called home.
“I once thought that I had that but that was not to be.”
“Now, hoomans have these things, called Pellet
Guns, I believe.” “These things I am sure can be fun
when used under the right circumstances and
guidance, but guys, the little pellets that come out of
this gun really really hurt.”
“I was used as a Friday Night Target Practise!” “The
hoomans thought that it was fun to shoot me with the
pellet gun.” “I still have one lodged in my one eye and
had around 22 of them removed from my little body
surgically.”
“I really want to be loved by a hooman family, but I am
scared.” “I don’t really like hoomans, but I am hoping
the right family will give me a loving home and in time I
can learn to trust again.”
“If you can find it in your hooman heart to give me a
chance and be patient with me, I would love to be part
of your family and then we can play ball together.”
