Are you having issues with your cat using the restroom outside of their litter box?? Well I found the EASIEST solution!!
My boy Apollo had never really started this behavior until fairly recently. I still don’t understand why and it took me several months to figure it out.
For only reasons the cat gods will know, he kept using the restroom on my couch and lazy boy. He used to just chill and sleep on them but for whatever reason, he was just unhappy with them 😂
The solution? VINEGAR! Make a solution in a spray bottle of 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar (I have read that apple cider vinegar works as well but I haven’t tried it). Spray it on the areas they have chosen after you that thoroughly cleaned it.
Why does it work? Cats can’t stand the smell of vinegar. Now, I know vinegar doesn’t smell great to us either (play around with the ratios if it’s too strong for you) but would you prefer cat p*e? I doubt it lol
Also, it’s only temporary. Apollo has had ZERO interest in the couches since I’ve started this. Every night I spray the solution as a deterrent and so far so good on day 5!
