This playful puppy has been in our care for over 100 days, awaiting the day to find his new forever home.

Desexed and basic command trained, he is the full package,

Diesel is known to love swimming, enjoys a walk on and off leash, and would enjoy a neutral or submissive play pal alongside him.

Foster carer found thank you 🙏

💕 Seeking foster carer for our girl 💕
We are also looking for a local foster carer for our beautiful Kayleigh.

She'll need a quiet home to recuperate and rest whilst she heals. She'll need to be crated inside (crate provided) with easy access to the outside (to be led outside for toilet breaks). ARCH will provide all food, equipment, medication, vet bills etc.

Ghost Foster Care Diary - Final Day

So bitter sweet to see this little man go on his final journey. Today he allowed me to pick him up and give him a cuddle - maybe he knew he was about to go to his new forever home.

Whilst we waited for transport together I gave him lots of pats and he gave me lots of purrs.

He has come such along way from the very frightened boy when he arrived.

Was it hard for me too pass him on? - Yes
Would I do it again? - Yes
Why? - Because foster care gave him the chance he deserved.

If you have the room, foster caring an animal makes such a big difference to their lives.

Good Afternoon all our loyal followers.

Kempsey Pound currently have a cat and kitten explosion with both surrendered and stray feline friends.

There are currently 35 cats and kittens impounded with Kempsey Pound. Kempsey Pound only has a limited number of pens to hold cats and kittens. Definitely not enough to hold 35. Majority of these animals are out in temp care with a carer with Friends of Kempsey Pound Inc.

Dunroamin Animal Rescue have kindly assisted with paying to desex 1 of our female cats and also Triggar a long term male dog, now out with a carer.

We have also had a supporter donate to desex/microchip another male and female.

That leaves us with 32 cats and kittens - male and female who are undesexed. Rescues are full, some of these cats and kittens have been in care since December 2022 with no adoption or rescue interest.

In order to encourage adoption and/or rescue organisations to be able to assist with finding new homes for these animals we are asking for sponsorship for part or all of microchip and desex cost for these cats and kittens.

Sponsorship can be either full vet cost or part. If you would like to sponsor a friendly feline all you need to do is send us a message indicating which animal you would like to assist and how much you would like to sponsor for.

Some idea of vet costs for these animals:

Microchip: $25.00
Desex - Male: $140.00
Desex - Female: $220.00
Vaccination: $65.00

Once you have selected the animal you would like to assist and messaged us you just need to deposit sponsorship amount to our desexing account. Receipts can be provided is requested.

Should 1 cat or kitten received more sponsorship than required, we will utilise any excess to assist another cat or kitten. The sponsor will be advised which cat or kitten their funds was applied to.

Good Morning All. Bit chilly this early in the morning.

It has been quite a while but Friends of Kempsey Pound Inc volunteers will be back at the Riverside Markets this morning. Why don't you call by and say hello. We have an awesome raffle with fantastic prizes that we will be selling tickets for. All funds raised from our raffle will be put towards our assisted desexing fund.

As well as a few other goodies for sale. All funds raised go to help our local animals, we are a totally volunteer run charity.

Come on by and learn what we do and how we work with the wonderful Kempsey Rangers to help our local animals.

Friends of Kempsey Pound have an simpler way for our followers to be able to volunteer to support us. We have created a form where you can add your details and indicate how you are able to volunteer. Open to suggestions on how the form can be improved and any other options that need to be added.
