We will continue shipping right up until the 21st of December however these are the last recommended postage dates for Christmas delivery due to current Royal Mail strike action.

Please be patient, and please don’t blame the wonderful staff at royal mail or your posties for the delays. They work hard to keep the post in this country moving and they deserve everything they’re asking for. Yes it’s hard for small business and our customers but this is not on them. We are proud to stand with the Royal Mail staff during this difficult period ❤️

The emails have started, the endless slashed prices for Black Friday.

Let me let you into a secret. The only reason big companies can do such crazy discounts is because they pay so little for products in the first place. They inflate the prices in begin with so that even with a huge discount they’re still making a healthy profit. Unfortunately these practises are common in retail and often come alongside unethical production and processes that are damaging to the environment in the name of producing cheap products.

I am pledging to shop small and ethical this Black Friday, even if this means paying full price. Small business like us price fairly all year round, we simply don’t have the profit margins to offer huge discounts and if we do we are often then not paying ourselves or even making a loss on products. Every single pound you spend right now with a small business in the UK is going back into our economy, not into some off-shore account making a millionaire even richer.

So join me! I’ve shared some of my favourite small businesses that sell a range of fantastic products, I’d love you to share some of your favourites below too!
