We had a sad start to our morning today at Vegan Smallholder π youβll recall a few weeks ago when I shared a video of our chucks that our oldest lady was showing her age and we were keeping a close eye on her. Sadly overnight Lizzie left us to meet up with all her old friends and her sister at π bridge. Although weβll miss her we know she had a great life that some chickens can only dream of. Lizzie was almost 11 years old, was feisty, loved the sunshine and enjoyed having a good chat, she was very vocal! Lizzie was a Lavender Araucana and laid beautiful small blue eggs, she was the last surviving chicken of the four who came with us from our previous home. Tonight weβll light a candle as Lizzie crosses π bridge. We love you Lizzie and weβll miss you ππ
