Monthly Skill Topic: 📢THREADLES

All skill levels welcome!

Join us for foundation lessons through coursework, depending on your level.

How do our drop-in classes work??

**Inside the building** on turf, will be foundation exercises and sequences. This can be adapted to help even the most novice handler/dog get started. If you are more experienced, this is a great warm-up/review for the bigger courses.

**Outside will be a full course** on grass, that includes the elements practiced at the foundation level. This will be for dogs that have reached a level of clarity for full courses. (weather dependent)

**Each registrant receives a PDF with foundation skills, sequences, and full coursework. This will include suggested handler options and a breakdown for practice.

**An instructor is there to guide you and help as each dog takes a turn individually.

**Waiting dogs will be managed and secured to offer the safest environment for all.

**All areas are fenced

📍📖Having a wide variety of skill levels in the same class:

*allows beginners to see/understand where those foundations can take them

*gives more advanced students refreshers of the those same foundations to keep their higher level skills proficient and test them on a competition level course.

*lets students of all levels meet, share knowledge and experience with others, and a build a network of great friends.

I try to remind my students to not worry about perfection and work with WITH your dog- not against. Cole, being a 2 year old lab likes to find things he shouldn't have and put them in his mouth. My reaction isn't to chase him down and yell, "no!" But rather, relax and teach him to want to bring me anything he finds.

Here he is getting better at finding my hand to give it to me, in exchange for a goldfish cracker, the nearest thing I had for reinforcement. Not perfect, but better.

He then promptly found his usual place on the rug while we are eating lunch. I also immediately got up and blocked his ability to get into the room where he found the off limits items.

1. Help them without losing your cool
2. Change the environment
3. Work with the dog in front of you
4. Practice your treat tossing 🤣🤣

16°f this morning and everyone doing well. Tank heaters can keep up with this temp and plenty of hay options inside a well but they choose to be out here.

Even our dogs can learn by watching the lessons online! (photo sent to me by a lovely family with their VERY smart border collie)

Our packages include:
