Labrador Retriever Breeder Our first lab, Aldwyck's My Gal Sam, for which our website is dedicated, was beyond description.

All of the best terms to describe the temperament of the labrador breed do not come close to summing up this very special girl. We simply loved her beyond words for all the joy our best friend brought to our lives. When she died suddenly and unexpectedly in our arms at the young age of seven years, we were devastated and began asking how this could have happened to such a young and vibrant dog. Ou

r love for Sam and our subsequent research into the breed led us to the conformation arena and its dedication to improving the breed. It was at that time we decided to do what we could to support the objectives of creating the all around labrador that includes rigorous health clearances. Ultimately, our search landed us a co-ownership for our foundation bitch, Lobuff Hollyridge Annica, who has been a welcome addition to our family. She is a quality bitch with an exceptional pedigree but more importantly; she is a special girl that warms our hearts. Whether or not one believes in doggy angels, we believe in the spirit of our Sam and that she continues to guide us. Sam left this world in the month of May so when Annica’s first litter was born on Memorial Day this May; we believe it is a tribute to our Sam.

Happy belated 10th Birthday to our miracle singleton "SAM", Aldwyck's Meant To Be "Sam" (GCH Shalimar's The Animator "Cyrus" X CH Aldwyck's Looking Good Via Lobuff "Nina").
DOB -7/12/14. She came into this world against all odds thus Sam was meant to be! She was so special, we named her after our first heart dog, Aldwyck's My Gal Sam, who passed way too young. As my husband, Dan says all the time - if we could only keep one dog, it would be our Sam. Sam brings us so much joy and love. She blessed us with Lily, Luna, Lily, Aggie Irene, Tory, Cory (Corker)-AKC Champion major pointed, Beacon, Elmer, Jackson, Huck AKC Champion, Maverick, Willie-AKC Champion pointed and Sola.

Introducing our Granger X Cory litter

Please welcome our Fearsome Foursome – 2 Males and 2 Females out of our Granger and Cory litter. They arrived via an emergency c-section on February 19, 2024, and despite a rough beginning, they were saved due to the assist of two incredibly skilled breeders. One of the girls is our Miracle Baby, “Ma Cheri” named for the one who fought so hard to save her (Cheri Goodwin). One boy is our Bonus Puppy, a true Gift, as we thought there were only three puppies. He was stuck up very high in the uterine horn, but our skilled vet managed to get him out. These pups are resilient and shown that they can overcome all obstacles thrown their way. Blessed to have these beautiful babies in all shades of yellow.
To ensure all are healthy, the pups received a well check by Dr Kathryn Hurley today and passed with flying colors. All pups have or are close to doubling their birth weight at one week.

For those of you that may not understand why…….

It was our decision. 🖤 💛 🤎

We knew what we were getting ourselves into. Nobody made us, nobody put a gun to our heads. We wanted it just like this. We knew we’d be tied down. Caring for them, feeding them, walking them. It doesn’t matter what the weather is or if we're in the mood or not. We promised them that as long as they were with us we would give them everything, take care of them and when they are sick we would take them to the doctor. They are our babies. 💛 🖤 🤎

We knew our wallets would be tighter, our clothes would be covered in dog hair, and our stuff could be ruined, but that was the choice that we made. Not saying it’s always been that way but it’s worth it.

We can never be mad at them.
Damaged items can be replaced, carpets can be cleaned, and our clothes can be washed. What can’t be replaced, however, are those sparkling eyes that are so happy to see us when we come home as they fall all over jumping on us. 🥰 It doesn’t matter if we're gone for 5 mins or 5 hours. Their affection and unconditional love are irreplaceable. 💛 🖤 🤎

There are times that they feel our sadness or hear us cry. They come poking us with their cold noses and licking us with their slobbery tongues. Always making us laugh and feel loved, immediately ❤️

You don’t even notice the years fly by. Eventually their faces turn grey, movement slows down, they no longer are able to jump when we get home but the excitement is still the same.❤️

Then one day the light starts to fade from their sparkling eyes, they stop going for long walks, they sleep a lot more, and their days are spent laying next to us resting. We may have to go more often to the doctor. We may have to clean up accidents more often.

We wanted this when we decided to bring them into our life, We wanted their childhood, their youth and their old age with all of it’s beauties, happy moments and even their worst days with all it’s pain. There is not a single moment that we regret. We took charge of them when we took them in until the day we have to let them go. 😪🌈

❤️🐾We're not moving if they can’t come with us!!! The person who would make us give them up isn’t born yet and never will be.

❤️🐾They are part of our life, part of our family and with us they will stay!!! We have taken over this responsibility from their first to their last day with us. Until Death do us part!!! 💛 🖤 🤎

My favorite pup - our black male out of the Travis X Charlie litter is a gentle soul, the sweetest of all dispositions, bright, laid back, social and very loving! He has my heart strings so it was important that we were able to place him in the best of homes.

This is how we exercise our puppies once weaned. Charlie (in the goat sleeve) is the pied piper! Travis X Charlie pups at 6 1/2 weeks old

“A Boy and his ball”. Despite his littermates aggressively wrestling and eating their dinner, yellow boy is singularly focused on his ball. This pup has cuteness overload. ❤️
