It's so hard to get a small business started and off the ground! It's really discouraging no matter how much you try to push and it goes nowhere. I apologize for not posting in a bit! I'm here and still happy to take on that dirty tack!

This saddle has been a HUGE project, probably some of the driest leather I've ever worked with and of course I forgot an actual before picture so I took one after the the first 2 cycles of cleaning/conditioning and you can still see how dry the leather was, specially on the fenders...however, I am pretty pleased with progress so far. I had to break out my heavy duty products for this one.

NWT in plastic, has some hair on underside as I tried it on my boy, however it's much too big for him! Size L dressage set.
Removable tabs and sheepskin withers!

It is extremely important to make sure your tack is safe to use! You should inspect your tack for signs of weakness and cracking regularly! If your billets or stirrup leathers show any signs of cracking, tearing, or stretching in the leather or fabric layers the saddle is no longer safe to use and billets should be replaced before you use the saddle again! The same goes for your cinch straps on western saddles. It's so important for us to minimize any added risk to our already dangerous sport so we can keep doing what we love! Do a quick check before each ride!

Since my page is BRAND new, I figured I'd introduce myself and tell you a little about me and who I am!

My name is Danyelle, I am the mother of a wonderful little boy currently finishing up my last semester of nursing school! I have 4 wonderful equines and 4 beautiful dogs.
All of my animals were rescues who needed me as much as I needed them. I call our house the misfit farm! My wonderful Remmy (19 yo OTTB) is my heart horse, he's been battling cancer for 4 years and still fighting strong! Casper is a 14 yo blind appaloosa, he came to me when he started loosing his vision as he very unsure and unsteady with his pervious owner and needed a home with blind horse experience to be able to learn, adapt, and trust again or he would have been euthanized, he has grown into one of the most amazing horses I've ever owned! Cheeka is a 20 yo black AQHA who was owned by my grandmother before she passed away from Alzheimer's. Ponkey is a young mini mule who I took in for a friend who runs a rescue, he was dangerous and again needed a home with blind horse experience, I was lucky enough that she trusted me and asked me to take him into my herd! All of my pups are rescues as well and have there own stories. I LOVE cleaning and restoring saddles and its a huge passion of mine! I've restored many of my own personal saddles and saddles I've bought for resale! I've never been disappointed with how they come out! You can find examples in an earlier post on the page! I figured it would be the perfect side gig to get some extra $$ for all of these vet bills! 🤣

How often are you cleaning your tack? How do you store your tack? Saddles should be wiped down after every ride and should be cleaned after every few rides. If you don't ride often, you can get away with occasional cleaning and deep clean every 5 to 6 months depending on how your saddle is stored. Remember leather hates the cold and excessive moisture! Don't have the time to keep your tack in prestine condition? I'm here to help! Routine cleaning will help ensure the longevity and resale value of your tack. Most saddles these days cost half as much as the horses they go on! Don't let your investment get ruined.
