It's official! John has found his people! 🥰
Although he will always have a special hairy place in our hearts, the plan had always been for John to find his furever people and this family was the absolute perfect match. We could not have asked for more experienced and knowledgeable husky owners.

Our intake will remain closed as we evaluate the rescue's current state, Okwaho, Blu and Bella will permanently be in our care but at this time we do not anticipate being able to rehabilitate any other dogs due to the reality that dogs with behaviour issues are a growing concern and there is a limited amount of individuals willing to adopt difficult dogs, which in all fairness is not unexpected but simply challenging.

Last week, my sweet Sophie crossed the rainbow bridge. At 14 years old, she was my first dog as an adult and my constant companion through so many of life’s moments. Sophie wasn’t just a dog—she was family. Her gentle soul, unwavering love, and quirky personality brought so much joy to my life. Saying goodbye has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I’m so grateful for the 14 incredible years we had together. Sophie, thank you for being my heart in dog form. OliDog Rescue

I've been working with rescues for over 25 years. I am not a dog trainer, I am a dog rescuer and rehabilitator.

The last dog to join our pack was delivered by the humane society, with a dog house and at no charge. They were unable to find a rescue who would take this dog and he was now on the kill list, this is when realized there was a strong need for people with the experience to give these dogs a second chance.

A lot of dogs are euthanized because they don't have a place to even have a chance to rehab, especially the larger breeds.

In the last year we've taken on two dogs booked for euthanasia, we are now at full capacity with 6 rescues. Our property is 6 acres, and with a simple building, fencing, and some support, we could do so much more.
