Athena's Blind Life Welcome! We purchased Athena on August 2nd, 2015 from the Kaufman Kill Pen. This is where you can keep up with her new life! She still lives a happy healthy life!

We’d also like to mention Athena is now fully blind as of 2020!

Athena got to give her first lesson today. She did absolutely wonderful and really loved all the attention she got!

Welcome everyone new!
I’ve been slacking on here but decided to revamp her page back up and get back to it!
Athena is an 8 year old blind Quarter Horse mare.
We rescued her from Kaufman Kill Pen in 2015 when she was just a year old. She did not go blind until 2020. She has no pain that we can find in her eyes and as far as the vet can see, she has no sight anymore in either eye. She does extremely well though and loves my 2 year old son with her whole soul. She’s a beautiful loving horse and doesn’t let being blind hinder her in the slightest! 😊❤️
