Sweet Potato and Apple Dog Cupcakes 🧁🍠🍎🐾
Spoil your pup with these delicious Sweet Potato and Apple Dog Cupcakes! Packed with wholesome ingredients, they're perfect for birthdays, holidays, or any time you want to show your furry friend some extra love.

Ingredients:
For the Cupcakes:
1/2 cup mashed sweet potato (cooked and cooled)
1/2 cup finely grated apple (peeled, core removed)
1 large egg
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup oat flour (or whole wheat flour)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for flavor)
For the Frosting:
1/4 cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon unsweetened peanut butter (ensure it’s xylitol-free)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with silicone or paper liners (or lightly grease the tin).

2. Prepare the Cupcake Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potato, grated apple, egg, and applesauce. Stir until well blended.
In a separate bowl, mix the oat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon (if using). Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a thick batter forms.

3. Fill the Muffin Tin
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.

4. Bake
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack.

5. Prepare the Frosting
In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt and peanut butter until smooth. Once the cupcakes are cool, spread or pipe the frosting on top.

6. Decorate (Optional)
Add fun, dog-friendly toppings like small apple slices, shredded carrots, or a sprinkle of oats for an extra special touch.

Storage:
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Freeze cupcakes (without frosting) for up to 1 month and thaw before frosting and serving.

I hope you're having the best time in heaven. I wanted to let you know that I climbed up a ladder to bring you this ball. You forgot your favorite ball, but I have it with me, keeping it safe and sound. It’s the same ball you loved to chase around the yard, the one we spent countless hours playing with. Please keep yourselves and your pets safe this week as we reach excessive temperatures! ☀️ It's also important to know the signs of heat stroke. These include:
-heavy panting and rapid breathing
-excessive drooling
-dry mucous membranes
-bright red gums and tongue
-skin that’s hot to the touch
-higher heart rate
Make sure that your pet has access to lots of shade, water, and keep them off of the pavement as much as possible! Inside is best. As always, NEVER leave your pet in a hot car. Even for a short period of time.
