🐦 Meet Coco, our 10-year-old Bare-eyed Cockatoo! 🦜

Coco is a permanent resident here at the store, and while he’s still a little shy around all the visitors, his charm is impossible to resist! Fun fact: Bare-eyed Cockatoos are native to Australia, where Aussies consider them pests because they destroy crops and trees. But here, we absolutely love Coco and his quirky personality! 💚

We still have a variety of feathered friends looking for their forever homes, including cockatiels, canaries, green cheek conures, and parakeets! Come say hi to Coco and the rest of our birds. 🐦✨

Fun fact: Did you know Monk Parakeets (also known as Quaker Parrots) are the only parrots that build stick nests in colonies? These clever birds can create massive nests over 5 feet across, weighing over a ton! 😲 They even live in their nests year-round, with up to 200 individual nests in one colony!

It would be a disservice to our wonderful community to close the doors, and we're committed to keeping the spirt of House of Birds alive for all of you and your feathered friends 🐦💕

We've been pouring our hearts into cleaning and revitalizing the store, ensuring it's better than ever before. You can look forward to hand-fed baby birds and new food options to keep your feathered family healthy and happy. 🦜⭐️

Did you know? Fun fact: Miners once used canaries in coal mines to warn of dangerous gas levels. If a canary stopped tweeting, it meant there wasn't enough oxygen in the air—talk about a feathered hero! 🐦💨

After 25 years in business we will be closing our doors soon due to the passing of Gloria and Dick's health. We are slashing our prices 50% off all merchandise and birds.
