Meet Bacala and her hooman. Bacala loves short supervised strolls around the house, lounging in the window sill and snuggling under an electric blanket. The VCE team came out to see her because she was slowing down a bit in her older age. Dr Sabo gave her a thorough exam, did some lab work and recommended a few things to keep her in tip top shape. With our generous donors support VCE is able to help keep older feline friends like Bacala living the life of luxury that they deserve. When Dr. Sabo asked me to design her vehicle wrap, I excitedly said, "YES!" Oh wait, but, I've never done that before. And then the pressure set in.
VCE is a mobile veterinarian who helps those who are unable to take their pets to the vet (elderly, veterans, and disabled) by bringing the vet to Them.
Since VCE uses their medic van to visit people's homes, I was painting her office, in a way. It also needed to be like a moving billboard on which people could quickly read information and motivate them to find more info.
Thankfully, the print company she used to apply the wrap was great at communicating and was as seamless as any normal print job. Everyone is happy with the end result!
We've worked together since 2018 and it's been incredible watching Dr. Sabo's mission grow!

For our $5 Friday post this week we wanted to highlight another part of our work. On top of our in home low cost appointments, we offer low cost wellness clinics around the entire state. We see the need for affordable and accessible care and we want to bring it to as many pets and their families as possible! In a few weeks we will be teaming up with Dog Star Rescue to bring one of these clinics to Bloomfield and surrounding towns. Share this post to spread the word for those who are in need! What a great summer we have had so far! Two weeks ago we went to the Danbury Senior Center and were able to help over 20 pets get the vaccines necessary to live happy and healthy lives! Dr. Sabo did full exam on everyone and made individualized recommendations to their families to keep up their health. VCE is only able to do this because of our generous donors. Please consider donating $5 this Friday to help us keep these low cost clinics going and help pets around the state of CT get the wellness care they need. Meet Molly! This poor older gal had a terrible double ear infection when we saw her 2 weeks ago. Her Dad has a hard time transporting her to a vet so VCE went out to help her. We came to see her again this week and she is looking better than ever! Thanks to our supporters we are able to provide this low cost care in the comfort of the pet’s home. Diesel had a complex orthopedic procedure all the way back in September. He had a complication that unfortunately kept him in a cone collar until last week when he FINALLY could be free of it. Dr. Sabo was one of many talented doctors involved in his care. Your donations go towards helping pets like Diesel heal! Enjoy his happy dance when he finally gets that come off!
