My name is Ree, I served 11 years in the Royal Australian Air Force as a Military Working Dog Handler - Throughout my career, this included working with and training Military Working Dogs (MWD) - These dogs are high drive dogs that are trained for security and protection purposes in the military. I was also fortunate enough to work and train with Explosive Detection Dogs (EDD), these dogs also pla

y a very important role in the Military. I have been working at Petbarn on a casual basis for almost 3 years, and love meeting all the local and holidaying pets and owners that come into the store. Every day is so rewarding at Petbarn, having the opportunity to provide advice and help people with anything they need for their valued pets. I love to train my dogs in my downtime to keep those brains active (both human and doggo), but most importantly, I just love having dogs by my side. I'm thrilled to be completing a Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy as accredited by ACRA (Australian Canine Rehabilitation Association), to very soon become a certified and qualified Canine Hydrotherapist practitioner, and further build on my already established skills and knowledge of dogs. Broadening it to more Exercise and Rehabilitation field is something I've wanted to do since leaving the Military. I'm very passionate about dogs in general, their health, and well-being, and looking for any excuse to spend time with more doggos - What better way than helping them get stronger post-injury, lose a couple of extra kgs, or even just build that body conditioning and fitness and stay fit and healthy. I am so proud and honoured to have created this business which has grown into LAW (Linc, Ayden & Wilbur) K9 GYM, in memory of my 3 retired Military Working Dogs that sadly passed over the rainbow bridge in 2022. LAW K9 GYM started to be created for my own 2 high energy puppies in mid-2023, Kovu (Belgian Malinois) and Ghost (Labrador Retriever) as I was starting to feel bad struggling to find time to exercise around work, and if not work, it was the unpredictable weather. The treadmill has already been amazing during hot weather, cold weather and storms etc. Rain, Hail, or Shine - My boys can get the much-needed exercise for their brain stimulation. 🌞🌞

**Please note** Due to limited staffing, unfortunately, LAW K9 GYM will only conduct post-surgical rehabilitation at this stage with strict Veterinary Recommendation (Please email [email protected] for the Vet Recommendation Form). All other injury related rehabilitation will be accepted. 😊

Storm is a beautiful rescue boy, only 2 years old. Kirsten has commenced private lessons to work on Storm's Basic Obedience, over excitement with doggos when walking, and go on to learn some human scent Tracking to keep his busy brain super stimulated.

❤️❤️Meet the gorgeous Piper❤️❤️

Piper has been referred from the wonderful for hydrotherapy.

Piper suffers chronic bilateral stifle arthritis and muscle wastage as a result of these conditions. Piper also has suspected spinal disc degeneration.

Piper has just conducted her 2nd hydrotherapy session, and her mum says the results are already evident.

Well done, Piper. LAW K9 GYM looks forward to helping you build as much strength as possible to assist as you move into your senior years 🥰🥰❤️❤️

🧨 Ideally, they should be left inside where they can safely hide. If you can’t have them inside, ensure microchips are up to date with correct contact details
🧨 Don’t let fireworks off yourself, leave it to those who hold the appropriate licence.

No doubt, facebook will be full of lost / found animals tomorrow, so PLEASE be mindful, be prepared and take care of your pets!

started as an idea in mid 2023 and took a good 8 months to get up and running, reflecting... I had no idea how it would go as a business in a small country town.
Thankfully, we have been able to change the lives of so many doggos in 2024. 🥰🥰

This handsome fella is 13 years young and has just commenced a hydrotherapy program. Dyson has previously had 2 x TPLO surgeries in the last 3 years and now suffers severe arthritis and has suspected hip dysplasia.

Dyson is an absolute superstar, and we can not wait to support him to get stronger and help relieve some of that pain and swelling in the joints!!

Reduced Hours for LAW K9 GYM

From 9 December 2024 to 15 January 2025, LAW K9 GYM will be operating on reduced hours.

During this period, we will not be accepting new clients or bookings. Current clients and their dogs are welcome to continue using our facilities and services as scheduled.

Testimonial - ❤️Beautiful Charlie❤️

LAW K9 Gym provided hydrotherapy treatment for my 12-year-old spoodle after his second TPLO surgery in June 2024. The dog had his first TPLO surgery 18 months prior. Both surgeries were successful with X-ray confirmation of complete bone healing and correct implant position performed 16 weeks post-surgery.

The post rehab (comprising of massage, physio and graduated exercise) was identical for both surgeries except that hydrotherapy was recommended and implemented after the 2nd surgery.

The weekly hydrotherapy sessions greatly improved the mobility and muscle tone of the leg and also reduced the confinement period by a few weeks. This was quite unexpected as the dog was older and recovering during the winter.

LAW K9 gym provided a professional treatment plan that helped get my dog back on all fours and running again.

Thank you for your genuine care and support during the grueling TPLO post recovery period- the Mid North Coast is lucky to have this service for our doggies!
