SiAna just received her well deserved cookie after getting home from today's therapy visit. She was at the Cupertino Library with her Therapy Dog Organization, Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Services . It is a farther visit from where she regularly goes and it takes us an hour to get home in commute traffic, but she loves it so much! The people she sees are so nice and they all love petting her. While some enjoy running their fingers through her hair, others just prefer to gently tap her head a few times. In the photo, SiAna is buckled into her safety harness in her car seat and ready to head home.

SiAna sure loves her cookies! She gets one after breakfast and one after dinner. Although she does not have many teeth, the crunchy cookies from Bocce's Bakery are still easy to chew. A bonus of the video is one of her loudest barks! 🤣🐶♥️
Later on today, SiAna will be getting a good full brush out. It is in anticipation of a busy week ahead with two therapy visits. Of course , she will get her cookie after those visits. Other than that, there is not too much happening. SiAna hopes you are having a Beautiful Sunday and a productive week ahead too!

SiAna mentioned that she had another visit with someone this week. She saw Auntie again! There was more time for lap sitting and visiting. They both really enjoyed their visit. SiAna forgot to mention that she had a therapy visit this past week too. All the residents at the retirement home really enjoyed her company. SiAna does not have anything on the calendar for this week, but there are a few things around the house that could use some attention. Does any of SiAna's friends have anything exciting happening? SiAna had her special visit this past week she mentioned last Sunday. She saw Auntie! We know some of you guessed right! It was fun have lunch with Auntie at Red Apple Cafe Aptos, CA. Daddy & Auntie both ordered the calamari steak sandwich. It was perfectly cooked and very tender. Sometimes, SiAna does not eat her breakfast in the morning, so Daddy made a special order of a scrambled egg, unseasoned and no added fat. So she would not gobble it up all at once, she was hand fed over the lunch visit. 🤣🐶♥️ Everything was delicious ! It was a very nice day on the California Central Coast and the weather was perfect! And guess what, we likely see Auntie again this week!

SiAna loves getting attention at her therapy visits! This is a video from a few months ago at the Milpitas Library. It was "forgot about" at the time and not shared, but rediscovered today. She hopes you enjoy seeing it!

SiAna wanted to check in and wish her friends a Beautiful Sunday!!! SiAna is doing well. Last week, she had a much needed bath, pawdicure and trim.This photo was from Tuesday; her first therapy visit it 2 months. Coincidentally, it has also been about 2 months since SiAna has posted. As many friends know, Daddy's family is in Agriculture and it was busy, but the last few weeks, Daddy was ill and very low energy and fatigued. He is much better now. SiAna hopes all her friends are doing well too. She loves you all so much and continues to think of you. Love you! ♥️🐶♥️

SiAna hopes her friends have someone that looks at them like she is looking at Auntie's Cannoli! And yes, she might have had the tiniest of tastes! 😆 In a long overdue post, SiAna wants to share all the delicious desserts Daddy made for Easter. Each photo is labeled. There are four different choices, but if you really think about it, each ice cream of the Spumoni needed to be made separately before being packed together. Everything was a hit and Daddy came home with almost nothing!
SiAna went on an unofficial therapy visit this past Friday. It was fun to see some of her team friends in a more relaxed and "off the clock" setting. This week will be extra busy. SiAna will have lots of down time while Dad's tends to some important business. He is attending the award ceremony where the recipient of his mom's memorial school will be given. And, it is the final stretch before Daddy's cherry season starts on Friday! We will be sure to share some cherry season photos this year. SiAna hopes her friends have been having a relaxing weekend and a Beautiful Sunday. We are also thinking special thoughts for one of our dear friends too who is facing some different times ahead. SiAna would like to wish all Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties, Godmothers and all those who are like a Mom, including all the pet Moms, a Very Happy & Wonderful Mother's Day. This photo is a favorite from a few years ago and we thought it was worth sharing again. In it is Big Grandma (Daddy's Great, Great Grandmother and Native of New Orleans), Grandma Steve (Daddy's Great Grandmother & Native of New Orleans), Grandma, Mom and of course, everyone knows Auntie Jo Ann. All of are 100% Italian Heritage too! This direct line of women were of great influence on Daddy & SiAna and especially today, we pay tribute to them.
SiAna hopes her friends have some exciting plans for the week. She has a therapy visit set for tomorrow. With cherry season around the corner, Daddy is getting busy! SiAna wishes everyone a Beautiful Sunday too!

SiAna is celebrating today, but not like many here in the USA are celebrating. She is celebrating what would be Daddy's Grandpa's (Mom's Dad) 113 Birthday! Grandpa always joked that all over town, people are celebrating his birthday. While we do not celebrate, Cinco De Mayo is a really big deal here in San Jose; so much so, there are 2 different parades and two different festivals! Traffic can get so busy with many people out and street closures, it is a better idea to stay home. They will go visiting tomorrow.
SiAna has a little bit of a quiet week ahead. But, you never know if anything exciting will come up. As we close out today, SiAna hopes you had a Beautiful Sunday and a good week ahead!

SiAna is sorry she missed everyone last Sunday, but she is happy to send you a bunch of love today. It has been busy! After having this chair for nearly a month, Daddy finally assembled it. Now, this is not just any chair. It is the newest grooming tool for SiAna. Daddy had always sat on the couch with a little table brought up to brush and groom SiAna. But it was never comfortable. He has been looking for the perfect chair for the last 2 years and FOUND IT! It met all the criteria too: white, high back, lumbar support, floating arms that can be raised and adjustable height with a little reclining. Plus, it was way under the set budget! 😁 Daddy found it on Amazon on sale. He was wary at first because he could not tell if it would be comfortable or good quality. It might be hard to tell from photos, but Daddy is a bigger guy. He is 6'2" and bigger framed and to be honest, a little on the huskier side right now too. He is more than satisfied. It is very comfortable and well made too! The arms needed to be floating because many chairs have their arms fixed to the seat and would push up against the side of his legs, making most those chairs uncomfortable. Plus, with moving arms, Daddy can use it as his sewing chair too! If you are curious about the chair, it is the H-Pac chair made by NeoChair. NEO CHAIR

SiAna was back at the coast yesterday. Did you see the live video in the cold wind? As soon as we were done with the video, SiAna had a "private moment" and it was straight to the car with heat on full blast!

We were there to go to Mass with Auntie because there were special intentions for Daddy's Grandma & Grandpa (Aunties Mom & Dad) and Daddy's & Auntie's Uncle (Grandpa's Brother). Auntie is not on social media, so Daddy brought the tablet computer so Auntie could read everyone's messages wishing her Happy Birthday. She was reading them when we took this photo. Auntie could not get over all the love SiAna's friends sent her. She thanks you all! ♥️♥️♥️ SiAna was able to get in more lap sitting too!

This might be a busy week ahead, but that will be determined tomorrow. And, we are going to try and catch up on everyone's comments from the last few weeks. SiAna was over the hill at the coast with Auntie today. It was for a very special day too. Today is a semi milestone birthday for Auntie. SiAna guarded the house while they went to lunch, but once back home, SiAna got in some good lap sitting. Just look at how relaxed and comfortable SiAna is in the photo. She was really enjoying it!

SiAna wish all her friends a Beautiful Sunday and for those who celebrate, a Very Happy Easter! It sure has been a busy week! SiAna has her two therapy visit and Daddy was feverishly baking & churning ice cream for the families celebration today. She will be able to have a little taste of a few things today that is safe and allowed to have. We know many of you are curious about what Daddy made, so we will share what everything looks like in a later post. Just to give a little preview, there are Zeppole, Cannoli, Daddy's Mom's Carrot Cake Cupcakes, and Spumoni Ice Cream!

SiAna is always sitting so pretty! Since it is later in the day, she is about to have dinner; then it is to the grooming table to finish the brush out from last night. She is getting ready for a busy week ahead. There are two therapy visits this week. Daddy is working on a few projects in addition creating some tasty little sweet things for Easter next Sunday. SiAna wishes her Paisano, "Buona Festa di San Giuseppe!" 🇮🇹🐶💚🤍♥️ Or in English, Happy Feast of Saint Joseph. Today is Saint Joseph's Day, an important feast day for people of Italian heritage and especially important to those who are of Sicilian heritage, like Daddy's family. In Italy, today is also Father's Day.
Daddy grew up celebrating Saint Joseph's Day with Pasta Milanese. It is a tomato based sauce with fennel, anchovies and sardines. Instead of cheese, breadcrumbs top the pasta, which is represents sawdust as Saint Joseph was a carpenter. Here is a little secret, Daddy has plain sauce on his bucatini, which is the traditional pasta served.
Daddy missed out on many of the traditions, like attending a Saint Joseph's Table, until recently. They still take place in old Italian neighborhoods where many neighbors host other neighbos. Churches and Italian Heritage organizations still organized them too. An alter is set up with a statue of Saint Joseph and it is adorned with candles, flowers, citrus, non-meat foods, cookies and other pastries and most importantly fava beans. During the middle ages, famine hit Sicily and the people prayed to Saint Joseph to help them; when spring came, the people were provided a large crop of fava beans, ending the famine.
One of the special pastries is something called Zeppole, which Daddy made special just so SiAna could have a photo with them. It is a Choux pastry shell, filled with pastry cream, topped with an amarena cherry and dusted in powdered sugar. Daddy did not grow up having them and only learned about them in recent years. SiAna will have a tiny taste of Zeppole later this evening.

SiAna would like to wish all her friends who are celebrating today a Happy Saint Patrick's Day! She put on her green for her friends to commemorate the day in a photo. Otherwise, we do not do anything special. Although, Daddy was not sleeping early this morning and he was able to put on the parade LIVE from Dublin, Ireland for a few minutes. He heard the PBS Create Network was showing it and they are showing the recording again as of this posting.
This will not be too busy of a week ahead. Of course, SiAna's friends will hear from her again for our special Saint Day on Tuesday. Daddy might even make a special treat just for the photo! SiAna hopes her friends are having a Beautiful Sunday and a good week ahead.

SiAna keeps a few photos on hand to share in case she is not able to get one. This is the case today. She is currently sitting in Daddy's lap and they are both relaxing. But earlier, Daddy was being the host for Grandpaw's 80th birthday party. It has been go, go, go not stop these last few days leading up to it. She will be getting a nice brushing sometime tomorrow. SiAna hopes her friends have had a Beautiful Sunday! It has been one of those sidetracked kind of days! As promised, SiAna has her report on the Tuesday therapy visit for the staff at the Cupertino library. There were 5 dogs at the visit. AND for a first visit, there were a good amount of staff that stopped by to say hello. SiAna did a really good job sitting on a few laps, included when this cute photo was snapped!
This is a busy week ahead but rest assured, SiAna will not be going without lots of attention and a quick brushing. Everyone have a fantastic week ahead!

SiAna just finished her therapy visit. The lady she was visiting on the video really enjoyed her company and was continuously grooming her with her fingers. The lady just wanted to make sure SiAna could see ok with all her long hair. You can even hear her mention it.

SiAna sent a digital card off to Tennessee at midnight their time because she wanted to be one of the first to wish her BFF, Rocket, a Very Happy 10th Birthday! We really wish we could be there to celebrate in person. Many of SiAna's friends are Rocket's friend too, but if you are not, head on over to his page, give him a like and join in on the celebration by wishing him a Happy Birthday, too. Happy Birthday, Rocket! Enjoy your celebration tonight. We love you so very much!

SiAna is upset with staff for not sharing this photo last month from one of her therapy visits. She wanted her friends to see the good work she does. And now, here she is again back at the 4th Tuesday of the month and ready for the same timed visit. But this time, it will be a library staff visit clear on the other side of the valley! She will be visiting that new location 4 times a year. It is about 30 minutes away and luckily will not be in commute traffic. She also added one more visit to her schedule for tomorrow that is at the location she visits the 2nd Monday of the month. That makes 3 scheduled visits in a month with the hopes of adding more soon.
It is always nice when there is something exciting happening during the week. Daddy has a few projects he needs to start for Grandpaw's big birthday celebration he is organizing that takes place in a few weeks. SiAna hopes her friends have something exciting planned for the coming week too. Hope you all are having a Beautiful Sunday! ❤️🐶❤️

SiAna is beside herself with excitement! She is looking forward to a special show on TV tonight. CBS will be broadcasting a special called "Dolly Parton's Pet Gala," staring Ms. Dolly, many celebrity guests and of course, lots and lots of little ones dressed in their best! The pets will be wearing a variety of outfits, including ones from Ms. Dolly's pet line of clothing and custom outfits that recreate many of her iconic looks. In addition to all the fashion, there will be music and other entertainment and Ms. Dolly will be reading to the dogs too! Yes... there IS a Maltese included named Lucy; named after Ms. Lucile Ball. She loved the camera and is also a therapy dog! Here is a link for information about the show where you can watch a video about it. SiAna has to apologize for not posting about her treats and sweater on Thursday as she promised. Daddy does not have the best mobile signal at Aunties and Aunties internet was acting up. Oh my gosh... It had actually been an issue for Auntie for a few months, but Daddy did not know. He did the best he could to resolve the issue, but need to call in a technician with the telephone company. It was not fixed until the next day. It turns out some work that was being done on a neighborhood box outside was forgotten about and never completed!
But, about those treats and sweater! SiAna adores her Bocce's Bakery treats and got to share in on the Valentine's Day fun! The light pink package on the left is Red Velvet and is flavored with peanut butter, cream cheese, and beets. The powder blue package on the right is Candy Hearts and is flavored with apples, blueberries, and cranberries. Bocce's Bakery always has fun seasonal treats like this! You can see that in the onset photo, her sweater spells out "LOVE" with multi-colored sequence and the "O" is replaced with a heart! It is so cute and had to have it when she saw a few of her friends with it!
