BUDDY UPDATE URGENT!!
EDIT!! The tooth will be sorted
As you know Buddy is currently in kennels being assessed. They have identified that Buddy is in pain from an old broken tooth. The tooth was xrayed and no issues found, but it is obviously hurting him. The kennels cannot continue to work with him while in pain, so he needs to be moved as soon as possible.
Buddy needs an experienced foster home who can carry on working with his issues that he has besides his tooth. He needs a quiet house with 2 people at most, no children or other animals. They need to understand what Buddy requires to settle so he doesn’t keep getting moved about. This in itself has damaged Buddy already. He really does have great potential if in the right place.
If you can help please get in touch
Many thanks
Buddy the dog needs your help!
Buddy is currently in foster care to be assessed for permanent adoption. Unfortunately Buddy has struggled a great deal to control his emotions in his new environment and has been aggressive towards his foster carers.
We will struggle to find Buddy the right home if he is showing signs of aggression. Despite this we believe that it’s important to try and identify the root cause of this aggression rather than simply give up on him. He has already been let down by too many people.
We want to give Buddy the best possible chance at life and we need to raise some money so that we can get Buddy fully assessed by a Vet to see if he is suffering from any medical conditions which might be upsetting him. This will incur costs which will be difficult for a small charity to meet without help from the dog loving community. We would also then like Buddy to stay with a reputable training establishment where he can be fully assessed to see which home would be the most suitable to meet Buddy’s needs.
Although Buddy has presented his foster carers with some challenging behaviours he has also been described as the sweetest dog underneath the teeth and spit. Buddy has clearly been damaged by humans and we owe it to him to try and help him.
Without the support of the generous dog loving community we will not be able to help Buddy in the way that he needs and we don’t want anyone to have to face making the decision to put Buddy to sleep purely because of finances, he deserves more than that.
Thank you

Wishing Buddy all the very best today for his castration. He has settled in very well and already has made new doggy friends.
Just Whippets Rescue Lola, found her self a very comfy bed!
Follow up on Just Whippets Rescue Arnie he is doing really well, settled in really well and off on his holidays with his servants. Some might say he should be showing at Chelsea Flower Show!
Out on the 6th June “Dogs” stamp set, 2nd Class Whippet features. Very disappointed a whippet is worthy of a 2nd Class stamp!!! First Class surely!!
Wishing Lola all the best for today, she is off to her forever sofa. XX
Really good tool, available at most Vets or pet shops.
From all of us at the Charity!
An update of Just Whippets Rescue Almaz, we adopted her in November 2018. Unfortunately she’s had a tough year with losing both her eyes to very painful glaucoma, the first last March and the second the 20th December.Such a tough, emotional journey but she’s recovering amazingly well and we are so very proud of her.We are still in the early days and training/guidance every day but she has absolutely ‘astounded’ us, the way she’s bounced back again. Up and down the sofa using her whiskers, walking great (I have falconry bells on all my shoes), she’s gaining confidence off lead in her paddock, navigating her house, using a ramp for steps, we’ve got a morning tv on and bedtime tv off routine, she’s lying upside down and most importantly that tail is still wagging ❤️🥰🐾The trust she has for us has always been immense, animals are truly amazing. Her years with us have been full of fun and adventures, there will be lots more fun and adventures to come.Never give up ❤️
There’s usually no room for us humans. #justwhippetsrescue #whippet #whippets #whippetreels #whippetlove #whippetlife #whippetmeme #diaryofawimpykid #whippetstyle #whippetcorner
We thought you might like to see Wizard and Comet in their foster home they are investigating their new surroundings. The Charity is creating a Fund Raiser for these two boys to help them back to full strength. Some background information on the Boys:
The Charity received a phone call to ask for help, they were being kept in a portable cabin along with 17 dogs and various horses and chickens. Unfortunately, through no fault of their own their elderly owners are receiving palliative care in hospital so no longer able to care for their small holding. The Charity had to move quickly due to the recent extreme hot temperatures and the commitment from the owners friend who was commuting a 100 mile round trip each day. Unfortunately, some of the very elderly dogs were in a very bad way and were dealt with by another Rescue. So time was of the essence to get the boys to safety, we don't know their age but 13 years approx.
The Charity sourced a wonderful foster home in a neighbouring County and the boys were very kindly transported to our foster home. They are both under weight, loose skin, poor teeth, not castrated or vaccinated. They have spent long periods of time in crates and have muscle wastage. As you can imagine they are not house trained, so start from scratch in training.
Even in the few days of having the Boys they have enough strength now to jump over the flower beds as previously they couldn't. They have been cleaned, wormed and received flea treatment. A full Veterinary assessment next Monday 26th June to see how their health is and to see what the next course of medical action will be.
As you can imagine without the Charity being there, where would they have gone, it was a true case of life and death for these poor boys. This is why, this is a long winded write up, we are seeking you our supporters, help to give these Boys the best possible second chance in life. A castration each will be £300 approx, Micro chipping, vaccinations etc if we can at least r
