I have a friend whose "spayed" rescue cat miraculously had 7 kittens. She's trying to find responsible homes for 4 or 5. I'm taking 2 😄(Woohoo) She wants to keep them all but realistically needs to rehome them. She's asking a $100 fee to ensure they go to good homes, but if I recommend the adopter, they're free, or I'd like to suggest a contribution towards spaying Mama cat. They're ready next weekend!!! I checked out the genders at 4 weeks but I'll double check just in case I was wrong lol. At this point there's 2 grey/white males, ginger male, a silver female and torti female. I'm taking the black female and one ginger.

I'd like to take the time to thank everyone for putting up with me the last couple of weeks through my bad back and my killer cold. I'm hoping to be back in action by Sunday. But this cold is pretty awful, so keep your fingers crossed, and I will get to all of you as soon as I can.!

I know none of my clients fit into this category, but please share. I lasted as long as possible before opening the windows. 31 minutes. It was unbearable in 31 minutes.

All you "It's overcast and breezy" A$$holes need to pay attention.

I'm sitting in my car, windows open 2 inches. Overcast, windy and 18°. I'm in a sleeveless summer dress with bare feet. Less than 20 mins and I'm sweating. Rivultets running down my back and face. I'm uncomfortable.

I'm not wearing fur, unable to self cool through sweating, unable to open a window or door to escape the heavy, hot air that's getting hotter and hotter as I pant. Anyone who says their "friend" is fine is beyond selfish.

If they're really hyperthermic, you can soak their paws in rubbing alcohol. It helps draw out the heat as it evaporates.

Livestock should also be cooled from their undercarriage. A horse can actually go into shock and die if you pour cold water on their backs.

You know, I try to stay positive, to be kind, to spread love, but sometimes, it's hard to do. I also wonder if I was a serial killer in a previous life cause karma keeps kicking my family down. Good news is my parents were still at the field so it wasn't way worse. Gotta search for that silver lining 😉😏

Mum and dad are exhausted and sore. My bro is recovering from foot surgery and I am unable to help due to my health and the risk of infection. I was pet sitting in Courtenay, but I wish they'd called. I would have come to help anyway. Getting anyone to come haul hay in is almost impossible. The cleanup is gonna suck. I hope some people from the community we've lived in for 35 years will volunteer to help. I worry about them.

Not looking for sympathy, handouts or anything! Just sharing how lucky I'm feeling that my family is ok with my very extended family xoxo

It drives me crazy when I see limping dogs on runs, stressed dogs in crowds and overheated dogs walking on pavement. And it's always the same answer "He's fine... he loves it...he asked to go" Guess you'd let your toddler make life risking decisions then too...your dog only wants to please you. You are their life. You need to protect them. Dogs don't limp unless they're in pain. They don't pant and look terrified unless they are and they don't show hyperthermia until it's usually too late.
