A very important part of our staff. Toby keeps track of lost goodies (should the need for it ever accure) , tells all of us if the weather is bad, will NOT allow other staff members to forget dinner time and also train the dogs to respect cats.

Congrats and a heartfelt thank you to their familys for taking such good care of their dogs from Crazy Owl's!

Today I wish the best of luck to my "puppies" when racing in Påryd (Kalmar) at the Whippetrace Derby 2024! CRAZY OWL'S Långväga-Sven, Eva Ger Järnet and Björn Järnsida. Some extra luck to Långväga -Sven and Eva Ger Järnet because this is their last race ever before retirement! GO GO GOOO!! Hubbe (Hopway I Earned My Stripes) taking a nap with the one and only Snake. Before the nap Snake tried to fly but Hubbe managed to get a grip and pull him back to the ground. Snake also tried to outrun Hubbe but - again - Hubbe got a firm grip and they ran together for quite some time. Snake then hide under some branches, but Hubbe didn't get fooled...

Six years ago I was surrounded by lovely whippets, Scilla (My blue Princess), Saga (with her tounge out) and little Lycka. Nowadays only Saga remains by my side (Hubbe is my sons dog, they both live here at home right now). Scilla caught a virus that destroyed her liver and she had to be put to sleep, Lycka got paroxysmal dyskinesi (epilepsy "light") that destroyed her ability to handle fear, it got so bad she had to be put to sleep only four years old. It makes me so sad that epilepsy hit that litter so hard, out of four siblings three are affected! As a breeder that takes outmost pride and care of my puppies and grown up dogs that is painful beyond words... But nobody knew about these genes hiding out in their daddy, we had to find out the hard way. There is also a lot of affected half siblings, all half siblings out of daddy King Of My Heart v Dia-Robinne's side. Please note that daddys breeder and owner have been absolutely honest about everything when it appeared and stopped breeding those lines at once. As did I and the third kennel that used him as a sire. That's what real breeders do, those who loves the breed, we do not contribute to bad health no matter what.

CONGRATS to Crazy Owl's Eva Ger Järnet, winner of the F-final at the Whippetrace Swedish Championship today! This is her last Championship before retiering (9 y old now) so a bit extra fun to be coming out on top! Also a big CONGRATS to Crazy Owl's Björn Järnsida, winner of the D-final! As always I am such a proud breeder! (On the pic Eva Ger Järnet yesterday when I visited)
