‼️Update on Wednesday 7/10!

Goal Reached! Thank you to our amazing donors and a special thank you to Lori McIntosh for her generous donation that helped us reach our goal with more than 1/2 still in need! I drove to LA to get the misters yesterday and today Kevin G***k n I delivered everything. They were extremely grateful and very much in dire need. Thank you, everyone! ❤️🙏🏼🐾

Ordered power station yesterday via Amazon; arriving today. Checking Home Depot to see who has "Fan Misters" in stock to buy this morning and deliver to the PUPS and their companions.

If you can please spare a few bucks to help offset the cost to help these sweet pups, who aren't ours (per se), but still deserving, it would be very much appreciated, as we have 28 furkids at AnP who are in various stages of medical and grooming needs and most of our rescue expenses come out of our own personal income. ‼️Hi everyone, it's been extremely hot in the canyon (Cajon Pass in San Bernardino, CA) this past week, 100° plus, with more excruciating hot days in the future; 108° today (7/10/24). 😳😔

The encampment where we've been helping their dogs (3 large, 2 lils) with spay/neuters/vaccines/deworm/tick n flea treatments are sweltering in this heat and we are extremely concerned for the dogs and the caring humans taking care of these dogs.

We thought at first, let's put them up in a motel during the hottest days, but we haven't even hit August yet, so many more hot days are coming. So we have looked into a few solutions and think misting fans are the best way to keep the dogs and humans more comfortable and together.

If you're able to help pitch in a few dollars, it would make a huge difference to the pups we've been helping, for a few years now, and their awesome human companions.

We'd like to get them 2, but if we come up short, we'll at least get them 1.

‼️Update on our Willow, nka Panda, our Great Pyrenees rescued sweetheart. ❤️

Willow was adopted 4 years ago and now living on a ranch "resort" Airbnb in Lenore, ID.

Panda is living her absolute BEST life with Mom n Dad, family, and many friends; canine, ranch animals, and Airbnb guest, who all love her! ❤️

To my Rescue Family! Wise words by a fellow Rescuer! 💔🙏🏼🐾

“If you choose to rescue animals, I am going to give you some sound advice - Grow thick skin and don't care what people think of you. I have known people to lose the battle with their minds and we just lost a kind, caring individual in my rescue network (RIP Rescue Warrior~RB). Compassion fatigue is real, but nothing is worth your life. No pet. No rescue. No person's opinion. Nothing.

In rescue, that person that tells you what an angel you are and how wonderful you are every time you pick up a stray pet thrown at their door will also be the first person who tells people how your organization is worthless when you don't have space to pick up the 30th pet thrown off on their property. It's ok.

In rescue, the adopter that leaves you the five star review about how wonderful everyone has been will change that review quick when they return the pet even though you have spent hours trying to keep it in their home. One star reviews are ok.

In rescue, your friend will be your friend until you deny their application for a pet because they are a great friend but a terrible pet owner. That's ok too.

In rescue, you will answer 143 calls in a day (yesterday to be exact). But if you miss 6 calls in a row while you are in the shower, you will be the one who "never answers their phone". It's ok.

In rescue, other rescuers and random trolls will judge everything you do but never have time to pitch in a hand to help when they see something needing more attention. They will, however, have lots of time to talk about how they’d do it better while they harass and judge you. It will be ok.

In rescue, you will have to involve animal control and the police department sometimes. The people who you take pets from will hate you - and I mean REALLY hate you. Trust me, it's ok.

In rescue, pets will be put down and pets will die at the hands of abusers. We can't save them all - and that's ok. We save the ones that we can and pray for peace for the ones we can't.

I have been in the animal rescue world since 2009 (2010 for me~RB). I have dealt with every problem and every situation imaginable. I used to take some things to heart, then I realized - I am doing this for the animals, not for any person in this world. I have found my joy and no person will take that. If you are in rescue, don't let anyone or anything take your joy. Find peace that you will never please everyone. Find peace that you will never save them all. Never allow something you love to turn into something that ends your life”.

Heart Attack…how you can save your own life:

When you are alone and have a heart attack. What are you gonna' do then? A rarely good post that can't be shared often enough:

1. Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work.
2. You are really tired and frustrated. All of a sudden, you have chest pains. They are starting to radiate in the arm and jaw. It feels like being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital or home.
3. Unfortunately, you don't know if you can make it.
4. Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself.
5. How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.
6. But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.
7. Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. Here's how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment.
8. Cardiologists say if someone gets this message and passes it on to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.
9. FOR WOMEN: You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. Rarely have crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. Often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line plus sudden fatigue.
No joke, this information saves lives…it may be yours.

Still looking for Fosters/Adopters for these special amazing dogs, who all have their own unique personalities, so each have specific requirements before being placed in a home.

‼️If you are looking for a "working/herding" dog, we have 2 "Stumpy Tail" Australian Cattle Dog (Bandit and his son, Cody).

‼️If you’re looking for a working/Agility dog, we have a Belgian Malinois (Sasha). UPDATE; Sasha and Roman will be going to Montana Belgian Malinois Rescue on 3/4.

‼️If you're looking for a hiking couch potato, we have the dog for you (Canyon).

‼️If you're looking for ranch dogs to follow you around as you do your chores and lay on your wrap around porch on a beautiful day, we have a bonded pair (Max n Thelma) and a big beautiful Shepherd/Husky mix (Balto)!

‼️If you're looking for a hypoallergenic "diva", to hang out with on the couch and sleep with, Winnie's your girl.

‼️Winnie (and her daughter) were pulled from Devore for my groomer, who belongs to Poodle groups with fosters to adopt. Winnie has a few issues, so we are holding on to her so she can decompress and get over a few medical issues (treated for giardia, worms, malnutrition, a**l glands impaction, etc...). She's about ready for a foster home.

To everyone who seen a comment made by “John Ritter”, I’d like to apologize! 🙏

A dysfunctional sibling, whose name obviously isn’t John Ritter (shame on him for using a wonderful deceased man’s name) is unhappy that he hasn’t received his blood money yet.

My parents passed away, my Mom in 2020 and my Dad in May, 2023. RIP Mom n Dad! 💔🙏❤️

This said dysfunctional sibling is creating issues in his mind because he didn’t receive his unearned blood money as soon as my Dad stopped breathing. The other 3 siblings know what it takes to settle the estate and are more than grateful and patient. ❤️

I’m sure every family has that one family member/sibling…ours is the baby of the family, who’s never been told “no, not yet” so he’s acting out! 🙄

Again, my sincere apologies that he brought it here, whereas, our only focus is on our homeless animals, finding them their perfectly matched homes, and being drama free! ❤️🙏🐾
