The team at CareVets Wainuiomata ran out of snacks today so they forced poor Tilly to make them biscuits 😳 So rude! The poor thing can barely breathe, and they wouldn’t let her just rest!! 🤣
Tilly is doing better than yesterday, but still needs oxygen. If she let herself rest more, it’d be ideal 🤦♀️
Neddy (Ginger) was pulled from adoptions last weekend as he just wasn’t right. I sent him and some other kittens off to a foster home so they could run around and be monitored.
His breathing wasn’t great so he was started on antibiotics on Wednesday. I was sent this video last night… I think we can assume Neddy is feeling better 😅 All going well, he’ll be up for adoption next weekend.
Teeny tiny Zachary is just the sweetest baby angel 🥰 The antibiotics are finally showing they’re working, today is the first day he hasn’t had prolonged sneezing fits 🥳 His eye are still a work in progress 😬
Tonight he has reached his heaviest ever weight… a tiny 94g. To put this into context, a healthy newborn weight is 80g-120g. This tiny fighter has a long way to go, but at least he’s enjoying the journey - turn your volume up to hear his purring 💜
Sadly, but not unexpectedly, his little buddy died early this morning. Troy tried so hard but his body just wasn’t made right - it barely absorbed any of his food, and at his heaviest he got to just 7g heavier than his intake weight 😢 R.I.P. Troy 💔
When you’re hungry but are too sleepy to wake up and eat 😅🥰
This is Zachary. It’s just him and Troy now, as we lost Polly 24hrs ago 😢 Both the remaining boys seem pretty strong currently 🤞💜
Rosco is the most patient boi 🥰
In other good news, look at brave Elliot now allowing pats during play time 🥰
And… him and his brothers have secured themselves a new foster-to-adopt home together 🥳💜
This adorable little chonk arrived today for her second stay at FN 🩷
Her first time was from Oct-Dec 2020 when she arrived with her newborns Rachel & Morgan. She briefly fed a baby Pixel, and when her kids were growing much faster than him he moved on and she took on Sugar & Floss.
Mama Gigi did a fabulous job of being a mum, and then a fabulous job of finding herself a wonderful furever home. Unfortunately, Lily, as her mum named her, recently started bringing mice and rats into the house - quite the tripping hazard for her 90yr old mum! 😳 Attempts were made to make Lily an indoor only cat but she made it clear she wasn’t having that and so the sad decision was made to give her up 😢
5yr old Lily is the sweetest snuggliest lap cat who loves a good belly rub. She has been beautifully cared for - and her mum gave her absolutely everything she needed, and has even been following advice to trim Lily down a bit. Despite being a little extra cuddly, Lily is nimble as anything… but she could definitely do with shedding a little more of her winter weight 😉
I’ve been told Lily was often seen trying to make friends with neighbourhood cats, so she could be ideal if you’re looking for a second cat. Lily will be up for adoption this Sunday, look out for the adoption appointment post at 7pm tomorrow 😻
