Pit Bulls Are Dogs Too Breaking Breed Barriers Pit Bulls are paying the ultimate price for a stigmata that society has created. We as a country have fought and won many great wars.

While we carry on with our normal safe lives, there are people in the back street, shadowy corners, and urban backyards who are terrorizing these animals. These dogs are being injected with drugs, forced to drag around chains doubling their body weight, tied to treadmills until the point of collapse, mussled and thrown into pits to endure being mulled by another dog for the purpose of sport. When

these dogs refuse to perform or they loose the fight, they are discarded in a back alley to bleed to death, hung from trees, hog tied and set on fire in trash cans. The dogs that manage to escape have no chance of rescue because of the conditioning of their environment. The dog pays with their life and this crime is only punishable by a (possible) ninety day jail sentence and thousand dollar fine. The payout for this crime is much greater than the risk of getting caught. We as a society need to make this a much more punishable offense. Lets give this breed a break and fight against this crime.
