TaLard is a very gentle and sweet girl. It takes time for her to warm up in a new environment.
We adopted her because she was tested FeLV+ and the plan was to have her in the Rahula Felv Sanctuary Luckily, we decided to do a retest and she was negative (SNAP and PCR). So we introduced her to her new siblings. They have been exceptionally loving towards her and that helped her to open up. Just watching how the cats groom her, snuggle with her or play with her makes u very happy.

Today is a special day. 9 years ago, Seng Seng came to us on this day. He was such a loving big brother and protective of all his siblings. Seng Seng eventually became the 2nd cat CEO. He passed away 2 years ago and is still dearly missed.

Mandy left this morning.
This week, we noticed she was not well, so we closed the pop-up to bring her to the vet. Her breathing was okay, and she was given antibiotics. No red flags. This morning she left.
Mandy and her siblings Rusty and Sandy were born on a construction site. Their mother was killed by a dog, and we adopted them. They adopted Chorny as their new brother. Mandy became extremely sick as a kitten, and it took a long time to rebuild her health. She became a very dear sister to the cats and dogs. She would assure them and be with them. That made her a very popular baby. Now she closed her chapter as a cat. She has gone to be with her mummy and all the siblings she had here who left for the rainbow bridge. Let her assure her mummy Rusty and Sandy are both happy and well. Miss her very much. Precious little princess.

Today we celebrate Teddy's 9yo birthday.
8 years ago, Teddy and his brother Mr. white were thrown out after they both had UTI. We fostered them and Mr. White passed away. We told him to go in peace and we told him we will adopt Teddy and look after him. Teddy was still a kitten then. Teddy is 9yo but still have a baby face. Very adorable and cute.

Rahula Felv Sanctuary There is a misconception that FeLV cats will die very fast.
That happens when FeLV cats are not given proper care. For that matter, any cat will die young if not given proper care.
Princess was tested FeLV when she was taken to the vet for a very serious eye injury. Her eye had to be removed and she was very uncomfortable. Alot of medication, feeding and care. She gradually recovered and is now a happy healthy cat. And she's been with us for almost 2 years now!

Last year today, Seng Seng left us.
We adopted him in 2015 and spent 7 happy years with him. He is such an amazing big brother cat to all his siblings.

Happy Birthday Mandy! This is a birthday we almost never see!
When mandy was about 8 mths old, she was tested FeLV+. We quickly tested the other siblings and they were all negative. That gave us hope it was a false positive. But as a safety precaution, we isolated her. She fell very sick and was almost coma-like. We rushed her to A&E and we were told she is likely to pass away that night.
We took her home and the vet told her is in case she survive, we need to bring her to the vet in the morning.
She was still alive but extremely weak. The vet gave us more medications and we continued to care for her. She was not moving and we just tried our best. It took almost 6 months before she started to put on weight. When she was 1.5yo, we redo the FeLV test and she was negative!
It was very hard work., Many times Mandy vomited or had diarrhea on the bed and we had to change the bed sheets in the middle of the night. We also had to set alarm clock to medicate her in the middle of the night. The vet bills were also very expensive. We just wanted to fight all the way for a chance of recovery. She did and now we celebrated her 6yo. This is a big event for us! So pls do not give up if your kitten is tested FeLV+. As long as you try, there is HOPE!

How time flies! 8 years ago today, Teddy came to us. Teddy and his brother Mr. White had UTI and were abandoned. The plan was for us to foster. Despite seeing the vet, Mr. White passed away. Teddy was still a kitten but had UTI, was abandoned, and lost his brother.
When we buried his brother, we told him to go in peace and that we will adopt and look after his little brother. So pls do not worry.
Now 8 years later, Teddy still has a baby face 🙂

When Seng Seng was around, Teddy would go to him and make a baby face. And Seng would groom him and he look so pleased with himself :-)

Today is Seng boy birthday. If Seng is still around he will be 11yo.
Seng was about 3yo when he come to us and we enjoy 7 very happy years with him. He became this very loving sweet brother to many little ones. They love seng and would always crowd around him. What a special sweet boy!

8 years ago today, we adopted Seng Seng.
It took Seng a while to settle down and when he did, he became a caring big brother to all the little ones that came in.
When Gold-D and Ken Ken passed away, Seng Seng became the new CEO. He is an inspiring, caring and loving sweet cat!

This is Mandy. Her tongue is always sticking out because she has no teeth. When she was a kitten she fell very sick and even had a false FeLV+. Luckily she survived and now is a happy healthy girl. She is always going around showing affection to the cats and dogs.

After we rescue Sally, there were various health issues. The most important was discovering she has pancreatitis. We are glad to have found it because left untreated, it can be fatal.
