Mom and dad had to run outside to deal with some issues regarding this evenings storms. This occurred just as dinner was ending. SOMEONE left their plate with crust on it on the couch.

Thanks to the professional training I've received from The K9Edge, I ignored the temptation for over ten minutes.

I was rewarded with a small slice of pepperoni.

*While the training is important for the dog, it is important for you as the handler. Learn from your trainer, take that knowledge home and continue it. The training should never stop. The main reason training fails isn't because of the animals.

I am so spoiled that I get an entire streets worth of sidewalk cleared just so I have a spot to walk with no road salt.

Folks, below is a quick visual from our bathroom walk.

The outside air temperature was in the mid eighties.

We are fortunate in that right next to our house is a spot we can walk where the majority (over 90%) of my path has shade.

The first picture is the temperature of grass in the shade.

The second picture is a sunny patch of grass.

The third picture is the pavement.

Jessie's dad here, brief, but very important post.

This is why the rescue you get your dog from is so important. I messaged one of the main members of the board of directors at German Shepherd Resource and Rescue Center on my way home from work this morning. (Yes, while sitting in a parking lot, about to go into the store and buy supplies)

I messaged her at 0610. That is six ten in the morning, for those that don't do military time.

Within twenty minutes, we had a continued care plan, going so far as offering professional grooming supplies and services. At no expense. Purely for the well being of the dog.

At GSRRC, they truly are "All About The Dogs"
