The animals featured on this page are housed at the Polk County Texas Animal Holding Facility and are in need of homes. This page is monitored by friends of the agency whose only goal is to help owners find their lost pets and or find placement in homes through dedicated partner rescue groups*.
All decisions will be made by the Polk County Texas Animal Control Officers Missy or Adrian. Any questions regarding specific requirements to pull animals out must be directed to a Polk County Texas Animal Control Officers. Since the facility is not open to the public, you will need to contact a Polk County Animal Control Officers through the Polk County Sheriff Dept. at (936) 327-6810 with any questions regarding lost animals or to set up an appointment to reclaim them. Proof of ownership will be required.
The volunteers monitoring this page are NOT affiliated with the Polk County Texas Sheriff's Dept. or the Polk County Texas Animal Control Officers.
Please private message the page or email us ([email protected]) if you are a rescue group willing to help sponsor any of of the dogs that are eligible to leave. Stray animals picked up by the ACOs will be held for 3 business days before they can leave with fosters or rescue groups.
