Pheidole cf megacephala - Live Feeding after cleaning the outworld, January 2023
*sorry no action for todays video... ants are not hungry 😅
but this is a good sign that they are well fed... a healthy and hardy colony I must say... remember the tube and tubs Pheidole sp ants I have shown in the past... now here they are... from a multiple queen consisting of 8 queens... now down to 2 queens and still kicking...
old videos of this colony, check links below:

Carebara diversa nuptial flight - June 2, 2021
Carebara diversa nuptial flight - June 2, 2021 aroud 5:00am I heard buzzing sounds... sorry about the poor video quality.
I collected around 200 wingless queens. Just like last year the date, time and weather are the same, the only thing I noticed was the ratio of male to female... unlike last year there are a lot of female alates present today.
I saw some female alates fly away after mating, but mostly are just breaking off their wings and start walking away from the swarm... wild ant colonies started to feast on them and also the chickens pecking them to death... so I had no choice but to get as many as I can, so I ended up with this sum...
