Hello Wildflower Family!

As you may know, we close one week in July and one in December - this is that week! ;) Sorry that you have missed us, but we look forward to serving you when we return on August 5th! Here is some important information for you:

When we reopen on Monday, August 5th we will return to normal business hours. Our regular hours are Monday - Wednesday 9am to 6pm, and Thursday - Friday 10:30am to 7:30pm. We will return all messages sent during this time then!

Our software and online scheduling has been updated to serve you better - if you are a current client scheduling for wellness, feel free to use either the app or the online scheduler on the website (www.wildflowermobilevet.com). If you have a sick kiddo you can schedule through either of those or email to see if we can fit you in sooner upon our return.

If you are a new client, please let us know via email what you are needing, and we will do our best to help you schedule when we return. We ask that all new clients fill out the new client form before scheduling to make sure that we get your correct information and legal authorization, are in our service are, and we are equipped to serve you. If you have checked the above, feel free to schedule online through our website.

Should you need emergency care during the time we are closed, please visit the website or app - look under the emergency tab and find the one nearest you.
If you are needing to say goodbye, we would recommend reaching out to Lap of Love, Loving Paws House Calls, or Over the Rainbow Bridge - know that we are so sorry.

If you are needing proof of vaccines, please download the app from the email invite you have previously received so you have proof of vaccination on your phone with you! (It is also in the reminder and confirmation emails you receive from us!)

We look forward to serving you and your four-legged kiddos when we return!

Thank you,
Dr. Desiree & the Wildflower Team

Happy Fall, Wildflower Family!

We are always on the hunt for things to make your life easier...and your pets healthcare more comprehensive!

Before the holiday rush of boarding and grooming to get your kiddos looking and smelling their best for those holiday parties we are introducing our new Pet Portal!

Current Clients - be on the lookout for an email invite that will allow you to access your records, book appointments, request refills, and send emails or texts from anywhere 24/7!

We are also going to move to a dedicated text number associated with this pet portal (it communicates directly with your patient files) - please save 469-301-2973 as the next text number! The 469-301-1099 number will be phased out by December 31st of 2022!

The website appointment calendar will remain open, and will be the primary route for new client appointments so we can get all needed information! Please send your friends and family that you refer to the website (www.wildflowermobilevet.com).

Lastly - we know that this season means many things to many people. We are praying that it brings peace, fullness, and gratitude in the midst of the hustle and bustle, and that you treasure the love of family, friends, and your four-legged kiddos! We are grateful for you - blessings this season and always! Dr. Desiree & the (amazing!) Wildflower team

Happy Friday - sending a little sunshine your way!!!!

We *know* that the COVID posts are wearing thin....however, this really does answer some questions for our clients! So, should that apply to you, read on! :)

Wildflower is still open, but does want our mobile vet family to know that we are taking every precaution to be safe during this time.
For that reason, home visits will look a bit different than usual. Here is how:

1. All visits that can be done outside WILL be done outside! Hooray for spring! We are finding that our 4-legged friends love the great outdoors too! (Except cats - they really just like what they like when they like it!) Please be prepared to leash or halter your animals one-by-one, and bring them out to us for their exam. What's better than a doctors visit, dog treats, and some vitamin-D? (We say nothing!) :)

2. Cats, they always have to be the odd one out, right? :) We are continuing to ask that CATS are confined PRIOR to our visit in a small bathroom or in a crate in the garage. (Trust us, they know we are coming!) If you have options for a bathroom, please make it the smallest room and the one that is used the least by humans. Giving them a clean towel to lay on from your home is also helpful. We will do ALL paperwork, talking, and payment outside the home, and enter with only the necessities for cats. We will slip in, share some catnip, and take care of your purr-fect kitty in no time. :)

3. We aren't hugging right now. If you know Dr. Desiree, this is a HARD thing for her, so feel free to remind her! :) Kidding - she wont forget, but please know that we are observing social distancing to every degree possible. We ask you to be aware of that as well, and not to be offended when we move out of arms length!

4. We care about our our patients PEOPLE too! And MANY of our clients are loving their golden years, fighting bravely against disease, or have some other reason that a home vet visit is a necessity for them more so than their animal. So, PLEASE, if you are sick, have been exposed, or otherwise feel like you should let us know that being around you is not safe for our most immunocompromised humans, PLEASE tell us AHEAD of the visit. Remember your sweet frail grandma - the one who you would do anything for? That is EXACTLY who we are working so hard to protect.

We are all in this together, and love serving you. In the worst of times, the best in humanity emerges. We know this will be one of those times in history.
Know the team is praying for you, look forward to seeing you soon!

To our Wildflower Mobile Vet Family:

We are asking for your help and patience as we walk through the COVID-19 outbreak.

Many of our home visit clients are elderly, immunocompromised, or may have other underlying issues that make them more susceptible to the severe potential side effects of this virus.

For this reason, house calls will be scheduled on a case by case basis for the next 3 weeks. Please text or email and ask about availability, and understand that our reguard for and desire to protect those that may not be able to protect themselves is of utmost concern.

If you are sick (respiratory) or have known exposure to the Coronavirus, please let us know prior to the visit so that we can determine the best course of action for you and your pet.

We continue to remain open during the outbreak of COVID-19 but we are instituting some policies to keep both you and our staff safe.

If you are a current client, and telemedicine is an option for your pets' needs, we will employ that as a first option for medical visits.

If we do come to you, we will limit the amount of supplies that we bring into your home, and will ask that you allow us to use a sink to wash both before and after the visit.

We have had a few questions on the potential for household pets to spread the virus.

Per the AVMA: “ Infectious disease experts and multiple international and domestic human and animal health organizations agree there is no evidence at this point to indicate that pets become ill with COVID-19 or that they spread it to other animals, including people. Out of an abundance of caution, it is recommended that those ill with COVID-10 limit contact with animals until more information is known about the virus. Have another member of your household take care of walking, feeding, and playing with your pet. If you have a service animal or you must care for your pet, then wear a facemask; don’t share food, kiss, or hug them; and wash your hands before and after any contact with them. As always, careful hand washing and other infection control practices can greatly reduce the chance of spreading any disease. The national Association of State Public Health Veterinarians’ (NASPHV) compendium of standard precautions is a good reference for appropriate infection control in veterinary practices.”

We are doing our best to stay abreast of current developments. We understand there is a lot of information (and misinformation) floating around. Updates can be found at:

American Veterinary Medical Association: Avma.org/Coronavirus

CDC: [https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html](https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html)

Know that we look forward to serving you, and will work through these obstacles together.

Praying for all those that are affected, and for the business and hardships that will occur.

Thank you for your understanding and patience in this situation,

Dr. Desiree and the Wildflower Team
