Meet Hades and Cosmo and learn how YOU can help with community cat spay and neuter!
Traverse City resident, Jenny Collins, a long-time AC PAW volunteer, saw a mama cat and kittens living under her shed. She knew she had to try to help them.
Jenny knew it was important to get the mama spayed and to also help the kittens by socializing them and getting them fixed as well.
Listen in as we talk about how YOU, as good citizens, can help to control the pet population. We cannot do this alone. You CAN make a difference!
PS-Cosmo and Hades are up for adoption through Jenny - so if you are interested, let us know and we will connect you!
So what's up with AC PAW?
Hi Everyone! We know lots of people are confused about what is up with AC PAW!
We are excited to get on track with our new mission and we value your support.
There are TWO PARTS TO RESCUE and for 30 years, we have worked hard to take in thousands of animals and find them safe forever homes, making sure that no animal left our care without being spayed or neutered. All the while, we have also been assisting the public with getting their pets spayed and neutered.
Spay and Neuter has always been an important part of our mission and now, we have decided to put it at the forefront of AC PAW.
We strongly believe that Spay and Neuter is the only way to truly get a handle on stopping the problem of pet overpopulation and in turn, their suffering.
We will also be speaking with Lisa Chimner, President of a new rescue group, TC PAW Cat Rescue. Lisa will fill you in on what they are doing in the community as a new cat rescue serving the greater Traverse City area.
We are here to keep you informed, answer your questions and say a big THANK YOU for your continued support! We look forward to many more years of serving the communities of Northern Michigan.

He is looking for his forever home!
Meet Rocky!
You NEED to meet this guy! He is looking for a forever home, please share!
MORE ABOUT ROCKY:
This boy is the BEST companion and we want to find the perfect place for this handsome fella!
His foster mom says he is truly an amazing dog to have around. She wold love to keep him, but she travels extensively and it is just not possible.
Rocky is about 5 years old and came to Michigan from Texas. In Texas, a nice couple took him in and paid for him to have surgery on his leg - so he has a pin in that leg but he does just fine with it. Upon coming to Michigan, they contacted us to help find a place for Rocky that would fit his needs better. And we are going to do that!
Rocky REALLY loves having a big fenced yard to chase squirrels in. He LOVES his person/people and just wants to be with you. He will be your sidekick and go everywhere with you. He LOVES to go in the car. He will gladly lay on the floor at your feet or next to you on the couch. Rocky’s foster mom says he has learned to be okay in his crate when she leaves, it might take a bribe with his bone, but he will go in and behave. He even goes in the crate to take a nap sometimes! BUT he doesn’t want to be left for long, so we are looking for someone that will be home with him most of the time, not have to leave him for long work days.
Rocky loves visitors and does well with new people coming to the house. He barks when someone pulls in the drive but he responds when told “no”. He greets visitors with kisses and says hello in his Scooby Doo voice.
In his foster home, he has met people of all ages and does well with them. He loved when his foster mom’s friends came over to play cards, he just hung out under the table. He does, however, enjoy a more quiet home with not too much commotion - with not a lot of people coming and going. He has gone out on some visits here and there and does well with that too.
Rocky needs help with more leash training (he pulls) and learning how to get al
