To help raise public awareness with the beginning of the mosquito season, April is being recognized as Heartworm Prevention Month. The American Heartworm Society reports that while most pet owners wouldn't knowingly put their pet at risk of becoming infected with a potentially deadly disease, millions fail to protect their dog or cat from heartworm infection. Since heartworm medication requires a prescription, call your local Vet today to schedule an appointment for your pet(s). Give your loving friend a Heartworm preventative once a month, or an injection that lasts for a WHOLE YEAR!

Made a supply drop at the Gordon County, GA Animal Shelter today in Calhoun. A beautiful, new facility. They are full to capacity in the dog runs. The dogs are safe and fed. They receive vet care once they are adopted or in emergency medical situations. They are open to the public and have beautiful dogs deserving a loving family & home ♥️🐾🐾

Please ADOPT your next pet. Animal shelters and rescue groups are filled with wonderful dogs and cats that need your love and care. Don't shop at a pet store. Don't buy your dog from a "backyard breeder" that's looking to make some extra cash. When you hear of people that had an "oops" litter of puppies, educate them on the need to spay or neuter their pets. Help end the cycle of homeless pets.

Another successful supply drive with Presents For Pets on Sassafras Mountain in North Georgia! It was a cold day but Santa Clause and Santa Paws were there to greet the generous neighbors that donated to the homeless pets in their county.
