ACC is facing an overpopulation crisis, caring for over 370 dogs, and we urgently need your help! We recently suspended our dog intake due to capacity issues, and need the NYC community to help with getting large dogs out of the shelter environment.

We’re seeking compassionate fosters to open their hearts and homes for a minimum of 2 week (the longer the better!) Anyone over 18 can foster, and we provide all necessary supplies to ensure a smooth and rewarding experience.

Ready to be a hero for these pups? 🐶 Please fill out our foster application form, and our foster team will reach out to you as soon as possible. If you're unable to foster, please spread the word to help us reach New Yorkers who can help with fostering.

🏘️We are preparing habitats & accommodations for Hamilton & his beardie adoptee brother, Darwin! Bearded dragons are solo reptiles 🦎who live separately but we are prepared to give them wonderful , soft landings where they can thrive & teach 👩🏻‍🏫children and adults all about who they are, how to be respectful, loving and kind to all, big & small. 🦎💚🦎
