For the love of dogs
It started with a Golden Retriever mix named Jake. He was my first dog as an adult and a perfect gentleman. He required almost no training. He moved in, we put his bed on the floor and lived happily ever after for eighteen months. Deciding he needed a sister, I adopted a 12-week old Border Collie mix, named Mae. That’s when things got interesting! This smart and active pup started me on a fascinating journey that increased my knowledge of dog behavior and deepened my appreciation for training. Numerous personal dogs have followed, each presenting their own unique qualities that have challenged me to learn more. My work over the next twenty years in animal shelters and as a professional groomer only increased my passion for these much loved, but sometimes misunderstood members of our family. It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I launch A Well-Mannered Pup. I look forward to working with you to create a training and exercise plan that will bring out the very best in your dog.
